Ingredients

  • 1 (28 ounce) can RED GOLD® DICED TOMATOES or REDPACK® DICED TOMATOES in JUICE
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans great Northern beans
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can chopped spinach, drained
  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth
  • 1 (29 ounce) can RED GOLD® TOMATO SAUCE or REDPACK® TOMATO SAUCE
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 slices crisp cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil
  • 8 ounces seashell pasta
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. In a large stockpot, combine all above ingredients except pasta. Bring to a boil; cover, and simmer for 40 minutes.
  2. Add pasta and cook uncovered until pasta is tender, about 10 minutes. Ladle soup into individual serving bowls and sprinkle with cheese.

  • Tip:
  • When a recipe calls for cooked and crumbled bacon, use 1/4 cup purchased cooked real bacon pieces.
