Good comfort food. My picky young ones like it because the chicken is so tender. Omitted rice per other reviews and serve it with egg noodles. Thanks for posting.

I took this recipe and tweaked it... it turned out great. I omited the rice, but made brown rice on the side and stirred it in before I served it. Also, the parm will burn in the pot, so I added that after it was dished up. Turned out superb, even the kids scarfed it down.

I thought that this recipe was good. I didn't have rice so I served it over cooked egg noodles. Very simple and easy to make. Next time I think I'd modify a little to increase flavor.

I really wanted to like this recipe beacuse it sounded good and was so simple for a one pot, slow cooker meal. The rice was a bit firm but was probably my own fault for using brown rice since it typically takes a little longer to cook. The onion soup mix made this taste very salty. The kids liked it but my husband and I weren't huge fans.

I made this without the rice. Cooked it separately and served the chicken over top of it. I think the onion soup mix is overpowering. Maybe cut it down to half the package.

I give it a 4 because the rice just did not work in the slow cooker. I do love it without the rice though. I did not add the salt and pepper because it did not need it. I even did this recipe in the oven. I just baked it at 350 for an hour and it was great too. The sauce is very addicting though...I almost drank it when dinner was over it was so good.

This recipe only gets a four, because it tasted like something was missing--I don't know what. The problem might have been my own, though; I used three smallish and three large chicken breasts, and it seemed like too much chicken. However, I shall be making this again. Putting it in the slow cooker in the morning made evening meal preparations as easy as making a side salad! One more thing: I used uncooked brown rice and it turned out wonderfully! The only cooking issue I had was that things stuck to the bottom and sides of the pot.

Great Recipe. Will add it as part of our meal rotation to serve along with Delicious and Easy Mock Risotto from this website. I panfried the breaded chicken in some butter for a minute on each side and then popped it in the oven for 30 minutes at 375.

My family really loved this recipe. I used a lot more parmesan....not sure exactly how much because I didn't measure it, but the more parmesan, the better!

The ingredients are tasty enough, but it looks awful! I prepared it twice, and my husband- who will eat just about anything- scraped off the rice mixture, and ate the chicken .

Taking other reviewers comments into consideration, I prepared this in the crockpot w/o the rice and cooked the rice seperately. The flavor, while okay, was not what I expected. My family did enjoy the dish, but I wasn't that impressed and will probably not make this one again.

I made a few changes, I used turkey (DH won't eat chicken, I used brown rice, I used 1 can cream of mushroom, 1 can cream of chicken soup and I added an extra 1½ c. of water. I cooked on low for 6 hrs then went automatically to warm for 3 hrs. The turkey breasts were dry & tough and the rice had absorbed all moisture and was over-cooked mush. But that mush tasted great! Whole family loved the rice mush. Recipe could be great but maybe only half the crock pot time or not slow cooked at all.

Next time I will add a little more water to the rice mixture to keep it from burning around the edges as bad. I will also pour a little of the rice mixture in the bottom, then place the chicken, then pour the rest of the rice mixture. All in all this was an excellent recipe and I will definitely be fixing it again!

My husband and I enjoyed this. I cooked it for 8 hours on low and the chicken was a tad dry. Next time I'll try 7 hours. I didn't change anything in the recipe. Very good, thanks!

Yummy! I did not add the rice to the crock pot. I did everything else the same. Cooked on low for 7& 1/2 hrs. Put some Birds Eye steam fresh rice in the microwave and dinner was ready. Will definitely make again.

I was so excited when I saw this recipe - it sounded yummy, the reviews were great and it seemed easy. Boy was I disappointed. The taste was strange and we all took a couple bites and then tossed it, deciding to eat leftover pizza instead. Plus 8 hours on low in the crockpot was way too long. Had I left it in that long, it would have burned.

Not sure if it was my slow cooker or the lack of liquid in this recepie, but after 9 hours on low, the chicken turned out very dry and the rice very pasty, like stuffing. If I try it again, I'll be adding more milk and cooking it on a day when I'll be home to definitely turn it off after 8 hours on low.
