This recipe is an easy, hearty meal. I pretty much followed the recipe, except I didn't add carrots (because I didn't have any) and I used sharp cheddar cheese. I also sauteed the mushrooms when I was cooking the meat. I served it with biscuits and they were a nice compliment. If you get to the end and think it is a little bland try adding hot sauce or terriyaki sauce, my husband enjoyed both of those additions (sepeartly). I will make this again if I get in a pinch.
