I tripled the recipe since I had teenagers to feed which I don't think affected the outcome. They were thin but a good basic recipe for pancakes. Everyone said they were yummy. Thanks, Michele, cambridge, ontario

My family always rates pancakes 5 stars no matter what. But I really thought these were great! Fluffy, and the taste was wonderful (I added Vanilla). And we added fresh strawberries to the batter, those were outstanding.

Good, but, we will stick to the Good Old Fashion Pancakes from this site. It is still our favorite.

Good and simple recipe--very tender pancakes. You may want to start with lower heat level for your griddle/skillet. I used pro-quality stainless steel skillet, and burned the first 2-3 with the heat at medium/medium-high. I ended up using medium-low heat and the cakes were beautiful.

Excellent recipe, they came out fluffy. I also added 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon. In the summer I added finely chopped fruit to the mixture ie. apple, peach and banana.

Tasted pretty decent. I used soymilk in place of regular milk, which always has an affect on how light the pancakes are. I also added some cinnamon to each pancake as I cooked it. All in all, a good recipe that I will likely use again.

Excecllent recipe - super easy and really consistent. I do sometimes add just a little more milk as we like thinner pancakes. This is our "standard" now, thanks!

This is a good basic pancake. I did try adding a hint of vanilla, and dash of cinnamon as suggested by some reviewers. It was a nice change. I think next time I will reduce the sugar to 1/2 t.. It was a tad too sweet for me with syrup. My children devoured these!

Delicious! I ran out of the pancake mix I normally use, so I came here to find a tradional pancake recipe to cook for my family- nothing fancy. This recipe is wonderful, easy to make/use and 100% better then the pancake mix I have been using for years! I love the texture and taste. You can tell when it is time to flip them when the batter bubbles and pops. I made each pancake 1/4 cup and the size was great. I will make these again!

These were great! I'm not the greatest cook, but I really wanted to try pancakes from scratch. I used 3/4 cup milk and added vanilla like other viewers suggested and they tasted awesome.. fluffed up perfectly too! I didn't have a griddle, so i used a non-stick frying pan and they still tasted so good!

Great pancakes! I looked through the previous reviews and changed the recipe: 1. Add 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 3. Use only one egg with a doubled recipe 4. Chill the batter for 20-30 minutes beforehand 5. Use 3/4 cup milk (or 1 1/2 cups milk with a doubled recipe) I also used melted butter instead of oil.

Excellent. I've been using the Good old Fashioned Pancakes recipe from this site for ever and found this one to be much much better. Batter was perfect. Looks thin when you put it on the griddle but fluffs up so nicely. I use a little shortening on the griddle so they don't stick. My new favorite pancake recipe.

This is a great and easy recipe. I added 1/8 of vanilla, a pinch of almond oil, and cinnamon for a little kick. With the added taste from the extra ingredients, it is very easy to use a low sugar or low fat syrup. Everyone loved them!
