We made these instead of the usual mix. My kids loved them. They do taste very similar but I like the idea of them being more "natural" since they're homemade. My husband and I thought they were good too. I doubled the recipe and added about tsp, maybe a bit more of vanilla. They were perfect.

I agree with the last reviewer, these are great on a cold groggy sunday morning. I used store bought syrup but they were still great, what a nice classic flavor, not rubbery like fast food pancakes.

Very easy recipe to make, even on a groggy Sunday morning. I also added one very ripe banana to the mix, which is enough to impart just the right amount of banana flavour ... delicious! I might try adding a little less baking powder next time (I like my pancakes a little flatter), but otherwise, this is a quick, easy, and delicious pancake mix. I didn't make the syrup.

This recipe makes nice, fluffy pancakes. (We had syrup so I didn't make it, but we'll will try another time.) I added a splash of vanilla for a touch more flavor. My boys loved them.

These were awesome!! I usually only use bisquick to make pancakes because I felt they were the best tasting pancake. However, now I am trying to eat healthier and not make prepackaged food and I have to say these are the best tasting pancake I have ever tasted. Actually, they taste like the bisquick pancakes. Thanks so much Joan.

This was my first time as well making pancakes from scratch and it was a success. Just as good as my friend Bisquick! Per the reviewer below, sometime adding a little more flour will thicken the mix or let stand a few minutes can work too. Variation: I made with all organic ingrediants and added slightly pureed banana for fruit flavor.

This is my first time making pancakes from scratch and I will say that this recipe is wonderful. The only adjustment I made was to add some softened butter to the batter and they came out delicious!

I made just the syrup from this recipe to go with another pancake recipe, and the syrup was delicious! Will make this from now on!

This was my first time trying to make pancakes from scratch and... it was'nt a success. I followed the recipe but the pancakes turned out very doughy and tasted more like biscuits than pancakes. Not sure if it's the cook or the recipe... but I will be looking for a "fluffier" recipe for next time...

This is an "ok" recipe. I read the reviews and decided to cut the baking powder to 2t. It still had a bit of a baking powder-y taste, but not bad. They did have a tendancy to burn..perhaps too much sugar? Overall, I would attempt again, with a fer tweaks.

I only made the pancakes, not the syrup since we already had some. The pancakes were GORGEOUS - the most perfect looking pancakes I've ever made. I cooked them 1/3 cup at a time at 250 degrees on my griddle. I doubled the recipe. My six year old ate THREE, but my husband and I both thought they were a little floury or baking soda-y. Next time I'll reduce the baking soda by 1/2 TBSP when I double it and I'll add a tsp. of vanilla. Thanks for the recipe...with a little tweaking, I think I'll stop buying bisquick altogether.

I have a very picky 1 1/2 year old. She will not eat "Aunt Jemima" or "Hungry Jack" pancakes, but she loved these. They are very filling and the perfect consistency. Unfortunately I was not able to make the syrup, but I can say these pancakes are definitely a keeper.
