OMGosh! We love these asparagus. My only suggestion is to make these just before you're going to serve your meal because if they wilt they tend to be very greasy.

I made this for Easter when I had approx. 14 people over for dinner. Everyone loved it. I sized up the recipe to accomodate all of the people, but I could still have used more. So, if I were to have 14 people again, I would probably size up the recipe for 18. The asparagus shrunk up quite a bit.

Very good! However, I agree with the above reviews, butter and oil should be cut down.

This was my first time cooking asparagus. I changed the proportions for 2 servings, and found it to be a little too buttery. The garlic, however, added a really great flavor.

Mmmm... this was great! I usually only steam my asparagus and add a little butter and I wanted to try something new and this was amazing! Thanks much!

Very simple, very good. I'm starting to prepare many vegetables this way. Last night I pan fried string beans. I put the veggies into a colander to remove excess oil/butter before I plate them.

This was awesome. I made a few changes, I used butter flavored cooking spray instead of butter, 1 T olive oil instead of 2 T and I added a little garlic at the end. It was phenomenal!!!

I used much less butter than was recommended in the recipe, and it all came out quite amazin'! Next time I'll probably just use 1 tp of butter(I used maybe 1 tb this time)--I wouldn't omit it as it adds flavor to the asparagus. I'll definitely be trying this with green beans next.

Good recipe - I made a few changes that make it 5 star in my book. I cut out the butter to save on the calories and just used olive oil. I then replaced the black pepper with white pepper for something a little different. The recipe as written is very good but the alterations I made still produced an amazing dish that was raved about - there were no left overs.

Very delicious and easy to make side dish. I served it alongside steak and mashed potatoes. The only change I would make next time is to decrease the amount of oil/butter. Will definetly make this again!

It was OK, but not great. I couldn't taste the garlic as much as I expected, and with both the butter and oil, it seemed a little too greasy. I prefer roasted asparagus. Thanks for the recipe idea, though.

very yummy... a tad salty though. if you have any sort of heart condition, i would recommend seriously cutting down on the amount of salt. in fact, i'd almost recommend that anyway from a "preventative" point of view. i'd almost say that it would still retain its level of taste with nearly half the salt. good otherwise!
