A family favorite of mine who are from northern Italy as well. In addition to this recipe, we drain the asparagus after frying it, and scramble in as many eggs as we need to feed the family. It is awesome!!

Had our priest over for dinner and made these as he loves asparagus. I didn't follow the recipe measurements but I did the ingredients. I felt there was too much oil/butter so I used 2 TB O.O. and I didn't use any butter at all. I will be making this again- it was simple and wonderfully good!

I followed the advice of others. I cooked my asparagus in the butter/oil and when it was almost done, added the fresh garlic and lots of it. I used 2.25 lbs of asparagus. Delish!

Awesome! I'd give this 10 stars if I could. Followed the recipe except for cutting it in half and it was divine. Thank you! :)

My boyfriend wanted to rate this a 10, but unfortunately I had to give it the maximum of 5 stars. I added my garlic at the end of the cooking time and also squeezed a few drops of lemon juice. Delicious.

My children and I loved this dish. I followed directions to the t and did not have a problem with any of it. I kept my temps low so I wouldn't burn the garlic and it was fabulous!

Simple and yummy but I also had to change recipe. Decrease the butter for the amount of asparagus and add garlic last so you do not burn it. Garlic tastes bitter if you cook first.

DElicious! I skipped the butter, and steamed the asparagus first before stir-frying them.

Really good and so fast and easy. I used a vegetable peeler to peel off the bottom half of the asparagus' skin. Great recipe!

I've been using this recipe for several years now and it's my favorite way of cooking asparagus. I can't give this 5 stars, because I don't think it would be very good as written. It has way too much oil and butter and the garlic is added too soon. The way I make it is to use only about 1 Tbsp. each of the olive oil and butter. I add 1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper and a couple pinches of kosher salt. I cook the asparagus in this and add the garlic during the last 1-2 minutes of cooking. If you add the garlic at the beginning, it will get way too brown!

It was good, not headline making but pretty tasty. Next time I'd like to try something a little different with asparagus, but fried in garlic was nice.

I steamed my asparagus 1st until tender crisp then finished it in the sauce. I toasted some sliced almonds in the butter which adds sooo much flavor. I usually like fresh garlic but I love the jarred, chopped stuff for this recipe. It's a little sweeter/nuttier. This was the best asparagus I've had! I do the exact same thing with green beans and love that even more. Thanks for the recipe!

Very simple, but delicious! I only modified the amounts of each ingredient because I only wanted to make enough for my husband and I. The husband loved it and so did I :)

I actually use this recipe with green beans! Add some bacon to the garlic when it is cooking and throw in the green beans instead of asparagus! It is WONDERFUL!

This was great. I love Asparagus but my hubby does not so I never buy it, but he was not going to be home last night so I bought a bundle. This is my first attempt at cooking asparagus and it was easy and tasted wonderful. I had it with baked salmon, wonderful dinner I made for myself.
