Great seasonings, but next time I won't cook for a full 10 minutes... I like my asparagus to have a little crunch to it and this was just a little too soft.

I never liked asparagus but decided to try this anyway. First off I would like to say I will be making this again it was delish, but I found it to be way to salty so Ill have to cut down on that. Thanks for the recipe, I can't wait to try it again.

I did this with the modifications specified by naples (i.e. putting the garlic in toward the end so it didn't burn). I loved it...I used the leftovers the next night in the goat cheese and asparagus quesadillas from this site. I'm not sure I'll ever do asparagus another way- this was great!

MY NEW FAVORITE WAY TO EAT ASPARAGUS! I did decrease the butter, olive oil, salt, and pepper for personal preference.

This was awesome. I usually use a little lemon on asparagus but the lime just made it so much better. I've now been using alot of lime in my cooking where I would normal use lemon, the lime just gives a better flavor all the way around.

This was a simple and easy technique for me, hopefully this way I can get my husband to eat more vegis! I added red onion, lemon pepper, and mushrooms to mine and it was wonderful! No salt though! Thank you for this recipe!

Unbelievably good!! I'm not sure I'll ever eat steamed asparagus again! I followed the recipe exactly, except I added the garlic a little more than 1/2 way thru. Perfect!! I'll definately be making this again & again!! Thank you!

EXCELLENT dish. I never thought to add the salt and pepper to the butter/oil before adding the asparagus. It gave a great seasoned coating to the asparagus when I mixed it in. Added the garlic towards the end. Only needed to cook the asparagus a few minutes, maybe 3-5, (but I prefer it very crisp). DELICIOUS and easy. Will definitely make my asparagus this way in the future. Even the kids gobbled it up.

My husband started eating out of the pan-I tried too. The asparagus was almost gone before dinner was served. My only change was adding parmesan cheese at the end. YUM! YUM!

With adjustments mentioned by top two reviewers - to greatly reduce butter and oil - this turned out divine. This was very simple, easy to make and delicious. The kids loved, the adults loved it and I am now mixing in broccoli and green beans with asparagus as well.
