Original Recipe Yield 9 burgers
 

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 (1 ounce) packages dry onion soup mix
  • 3/4 cup barbeque sauce (such as Sweet Baby Ray's® Hickory & Brown Sugar)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • garlic salt to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
  2. Combine ground beef, ground pork, onion soup mix, barbeque sauce, chopped onion, and garlic salt in a large bowl. Lightly form mixture into 9 patties.
  3. Cook on preheated grill until the burgers are cooked to your desired degree of doneness, about 5 minutes per side for well done. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
