My 11 yr old son said he didn't like preparing this recipe because it was too easy. The only changes I will make is to add more seasoning & make sure I dab the finished product on paper towels before plating. Will definately have my son make this again ~ great entree' for moms night off don't 'cha know! Thanks bunches!

This chicken was awesome! It came out very tender and juicy. I especially loved the fried chicken texture and taste without having to actually fry it. Thanks for the recipe.

OK I guess ... I wasn't all that taken with the texture of the batter once cooked, and there wasn't enough seasoning for the chicken even though I'd added some poultry seasoning ... I'm going to keep looking.

This was just ok for us. The taste was good, but I definitely think it would have been better on boneless/skinless thighs, or even boneless breasts. I soaked the thighs for a few hours before coating and baking in a brine mixture of water, salt, and sugar. It really helps to give the meat some flavor on the inside, and not just the outside. I might try this again with boneless/skinless chicken. Thanks for the idea!

I don't fry food often at all but was in the mood for fried chicken but didn't want to take the time. This was my first time making any type of oven fried chicken. I followed the recipe but used Mrs. Dash for extra flavor. LOVED IT! M 15 yr old son couldn't get enough. It was really easy to make and I didn't have to stand over the stove. THANX!!!

This was enjoyed by everyone at the dinner table tonight. Rather than using the oil I lined a pan with foil and sprayed the an olive oil spray on it to cut down on sticking. I also sprayed it over the chicken before baking. Half way through I added some butter to the pan. We were pleased with the crunchy outsides and moist tender insides. I did, as suggested in other reviews, add some more seasoning. I added mine to the flour. And now as I am typing, I think it might be nice to add some finely grated Parmesan to the bread crumbs next time. But perhaps baking Parmesan for an hour would be too long. Thank you for posting.. this was close enough to fried for us for most of the time.

Very good. I added extra seasonings to both the flour and the breadcrumbs. I cooked it at the time and temp in the recipe and it was crispy and did not stick to my pan.

This was quite tasty. I wanted to try something a little different, so instead of bread crumbs. I used dry stuffing mix that I crushed in a bag with a marble rolling pin to the consistency of bread crumbs. Added some garlic powder to the salt and pepper with the flour, and skipped the paprika as I thought it would not work with the stuffing seasoning. used a little less oil and let the coating rest before putting it into the oil. I also used skinless, boneless thighs, which cooked faster. It came out very crisp. A little of the stuffing stuck to the bottom of the pan on a couple of the thighs, but not much, and the chicken was moist and flavorful. Smelled great cooking - my husband could not wait to eat!

I made this for my family and they liked it. I was out of bread crumbs so I got out the instant oatmeal, measured it out along with the spices and put it through the blender to crumb them. It turned out great!

This worked out GREAT. I followed the recipe with very few changes (nothing to change the overall recipe though). I used leg quarters, cut. I sprinkled some Gram Masala spices into the flour and the bread crumbs. I also used butter instead of oil. I put 1/2c salted butter in my big pyrex baking dish, let it melt in the oven, then put the chicken in the pan. I cut up another 1/2c salted butter and put it around the chicken. I wasn't aiming for a healthier version of fried chicken, I just didn't feel like standing over a fry pan for an hour while cooking for my family. :) So with that much to fry in, it gave it a very fried-chicken flavor. The kids decided it tasted a lot like KFC and ate VERY well. I'll use this to fry chicken again! Right now, I'm off to eat the leftovers.
