I've made this a few times now. I like to add just one finely diced carrot for flavour (the carrots dry up in the oven, but are super tasty). Recently, I made 5 potatoes and melted a teaspoon of ground garlic alongside the butter. And when there was 15 minutes left, I added some cheese to the top of the potatoes. Super delicious garlic cheese potatoes- a favourite in my house!!

Great basic recipe. I washed the potatoes, left the skin on and used onion powder instead of real onion. I also added a dash of garlic powder, about a teaspoon of fresh parsely, and topped them with some sharp cheddar. Tasty.

Delicious. Very easy, minimal ingredients! Be careful not to use to much butter. It will be a buttery mess. I doubled the recipe and thought I would add a little more butter not a good idea. Overall very good, everyone liked them. I will make these again soon!

What an easy way to prepare potatoes! These were excellent. My husband wants me to cook these with breakfast. They're exactly what he thinks homefries should be. I followed the recipe with the exception of adding more butter. I actually think I'll use the 3TB next time. My oven also cooked these a little fast. I think I'll cook at 400 degrees next time. I was really impressed by what looks like such a simple recipe!

This is a very easy and good recipe. I personally thought it was a little bland, but my family gobbled up the whole pan! I did add 1/2 tsp. of salt, and cut the butter to 2 tbs. rather than 3. The potatoes were still very buttery and good. I know my family will want me to make these again!

Delicious! Can't get any easier! I cut my potatoes in half before slicing, be sure to slice thin. With the suggestion of other reviewers I increased the onion to 3 T and the butter to 5 T. I seasoned to taste, and sprinkled top with paprika. I also topped with partially cooked bits of bacon last l5 minutes of cooking time. Nice change from scalloped and au gratin potatoes. Gorgeous dish to serve. Served with Amish Meatloaf (recipe from this site), nice combination. I will be making these again and again.

This recipe is so easy and tastes delicious. The whole reason I wanted to make it was because of the added onion, but when I looked in my pantry, I had no onion! I did add much more pepper (I love pepper) a few herbs... parsley, oregano, Italian seasoning, as well as a touch of Worcestershire sauce. Delicious! I can't wait to do it again with a big red onion next time!

I didn't think these were anything special. I added more onion (1/2 an onion) and butter (5 tbsp),used the called for amount of pepper but no other seasonings. I felt that this dish could have used salt and some other spices to make it more interesting.
