Oven-Crisped Potatoes
SUBMITTED BY:
Precious Owens
"I OFTEN MAKE this easy potato dish when I invite someone over for lunch. It's a nice accompaniment to salads or sandwiches. This dish always draws complimentary comments when my lunch guest arrives...the aroma of that touch of onion baking with the potatoes whets the appetite. -Precious Owens, Elizabethtown, Kentucky"

These potatoes are simple and delicious. I hate peeling potatoes, so I just wash them and slice. I also add more onion, usually a whole onion...my family LOVES onion!

I didn't think these were anything special. I added more onion (1/2 an onion) and butter (5 tbsp),used the called for amount of pepper but no other seasonings. I felt that this dish could have used salt and some other spices to make it more interesting.

Very tasty. Also good with olive oil if you want to avoid butter.

Loved the recipe! Easy and great! I added more onion and about 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese. Next time I will try some shredded cheddar. Thanks for a nice simple way to prepare potatoes!

This is so simple and so good! I'll be making this again and again. You could even add different spices or maybe some cheese on top to switch it up a little. Thanks!

This is a very easy and good recipe. I personally thought it was a little bland, but my family gobbled up the whole pan! I did add 1/2 tsp. of salt, and cut the butter to 2 tbs. rather than 3. The potatoes were still very buttery and good. I know my family will want me to make these again!

Great basic recipe. I washed the potatoes, left the skin on and used onion powder instead of real onion. I also added a dash of garlic powder, about a teaspoon of fresh parsely, and topped them with some sharp cheddar. Tasty.
