WOW!!!!! I love this recipe. I am so picky when it comes to chocolate chip cookies. I have been baking for over 30 years and have a reputation when it comes to my cookies. I can't wait to bring these to friends and family. No changes are necessary to this recipe at all. Go ahead and bake them you won't be sorry.

My daughter and I made these for a Girl Scout Bake Sale and they were a hit. They are crunchy, yet chewy. As JENNJUSTIN had said I would use a little less than a cup maybe 3/4 next time. I will definitely make these again.

These cookies definitely deliver. Personally, I don't like a very greasy cookie, so I upped the oats to about 1 1/2 cups in total, and threw in some extra chocolate chips. I also added an additional spoonful of peanut butter. These are a great alternative to chocolate chip cookies. Next time, I might add flaked coconut to amp the flavor.

okay, this was the first attempt my 11 year old daughter has made at cookies... this recipe worked marvelously! She asked for minimal assistance, only to stir actually, and they turned out very good. She made them exactly as the recipe stated too.

My mom and I actually found this recipe on a bag of flour about 15 or so years ago. Our whole family loves it and has become a traditional Christmas cookie for us. This recipe seems to be exactly the same as mine, thank goodness! The last time I moved I lost my copy. Thanks for submitting Joan!!! I can continue on the tradition for my own family now! I hope everyone enjoys this recipe, I know my husband will be thrilled!

Yum! I added a sprinkle of cloves and cinnamon to the dough to give a little boost to the oatmeal cookie flavor. The first batch turned out really flat, so I stuck it in the fridge for about 15 minutes and they didn't spread as much. I may try butter flavor Crisco next time and see if that helps contain the spread.

We LOVE these cookies!!! Very yummy. I have made these exactly as recipe states. Tonight I didn't have enough chips, but I did have some left over m&m's on hand. They did the trick and they came out like a monster cookie. very good

Yum! Kept a great shape, (I hate cookies that flatten out). Followed the recipe exactly except used margarine instead of butter. Still turned out moist and chewy. Definitely a keeper! Thanks Joan :)
