Yum! I added a sprinkle of cloves and cinnamon to the dough to give a little boost to the oatmeal cookie flavor. The first batch turned out really flat, so I stuck it in the fridge for about 15 minutes and they didn't spread as much. I may try butter flavor Crisco next time and see if that helps contain the spread.

Truly one of the best chocolate chip cookie recipes I have ever tried. They baked perfectly and I loved the touch of peanut butter. Kids absolutely love these!

We LOVE these cookies!!! Very yummy. I have made these exactly as recipe states. Tonight I didn't have enough chips, but I did have some left over m&m's on hand. They did the trick and they came out like a monster cookie. very good

These are good - my bf didn't love them though... he said it seemed like they were confused, couldn't decide if they were chocolate chip, or oatmeal, or PB, etc. =) I liked how they have a light crunch when you bite into them yet they are chewy.

Yum! Kept a great shape, (I hate cookies that flatten out). Followed the recipe exactly except used margarine instead of butter. Still turned out moist and chewy. Definitely a keeper! Thanks Joan :)

I work at a school and use my custodians as guinea pigs. They absolutely loved these! I've tried this recipe a few times and there are a couple of tricks to these. A) Resist the urge to skimp. Quality is a must. Real butter (I use a 1/4 butter flavored shortening so the cookies hold thier shape) and a very good name brand peanut butter are a must. and B) Don't eat these right out of the oven. They actually taste better the next day when the flavors have had a chance to combine. Thanks for sharing this recipe

This is the one cookie recipe that I use again and again!! I double the recipe because they go fast at our house. I only add a tad bit more oatmeal... otherwise it is a perfect recipe.

Made as stated except ground the oatmeal which I wouldn't do again. I missed the chewy texture whole oatmeal brings. Very delicious!

My husband said these were the best cookies I ever made..........he who usually doesn't say much about my cooking. He took half to work and he said they were gone in a flash. I doubled the recipe and made 2 pans of larger cookies. I followed the recipe as written except had to cut the flour by about 1/4 of a cup because I ran out. Looked like a perfect cookie. Had to cook several minutes longer....probably because they were bigger. Took them out while they still looked a bit soft and they were perfect. I could just barely taste the peanut butter though.

We really like this recipe. I usually grab a messy spoonful, about the size of a golf ball. I don't flatten it or anything. The cookies come out beautifully lumpy and the perfect thickness. Oh, and a little trick I learned to make them look more like the "pretty" bakery cookies: after you form them but before you put them in the oven, poke 2-4 more chocolate chips onto the tops of the cookies, to break up any "plain dough" areas.

GREAT COOKIE! I've tried lots of peanut butter/chocolate combination, but this one is by far the best, most balanced cookie I've ever eaten. No modifications necessary.

They're good, but I kind of agree with the person that said they are a combination cookie with not much taste. I'll make them again depending upon the response. I will say that the "36" made 50 (even with my usual measuring utensil), so that was an added bonus.

These are soooo good!!! It's great to find a recipe that doesn't need any altering too - absolutely perfect! Though I did roll into balls and flatten slightly before baking. I had to make a second batch the next day since they were so popular with everyone. Thanks Joan
