This is delish. It was good as written but I did take other reviewers' advice and had some extra chicken stock on hand. I also added a bit of garlic powder, wanted to use fresh but didn't have any on hand, and some chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Yummy!!

Love this dish! I made it 2 ways, one way as directed and the other way with sauteed mushrooms and it came out very good!

Oh so good! So easy too. I used bouillon instead of broth to cut cost. Doubles great.

Kid-friendly: serve theirs before adding basil. Everyone loved it! I used some lemon-infused olive oil from Oliviers and Co. to add a subtle hint of lemon.

I just love this recipe. I seem to be making it every weekend with enough leftover to nibble on during the week. BF cleans his plate every time I make it.

LOVED this recipe! Paired it as a side with the Quick Chicken and Wine I also found on this website and it was a great dinner - I did not use all the parmesean suggested in this dish so the orzo turned out gooey but not too cheesy. Simple and tasty.

A little bland, after I tasted it made to the recipe I went ahead and added some garlic powder and onion powder. We had steamed broccoli and shredded cheese on the table so my sons added some of each after their test taste and declared it good!

This was great. Basil is such a perfect flavor w/the parmesan. Perfect with flank steak, pork tenderloin, etc. Use as much basil as you want - I added a bit more. And I added lots more cheese than it called for which made it extra flavorful.

Yum! I loved this recipe. Next time I will add the cheese and basil just before serving. It sat on the stove for a bit before we ate it and the texture changed.

Simple and delicious. I had to use dried basil, as that was all I had on hand (used 2 tsp. which was the perfect amount). I did have to add more liquid, as the orzo wasn't cooked through by the time the liquid had evaporated.

Prepared recipe as written. Had never made orzo before, and now prepare this dish at least twice a month. Great as leftovers also. Freshly grated parmesan and fresh basil really make this dish.

Left out the basil as I have a "Green is evil" husband, so added a little dried Italian spice with the liquid. Yummy!
