This was the first time I'd made orzo and it was terrific! Followed recipe as is with fresh basil from the garden. Very tastey and easy too!

This is the first time I've made orzo; my husband and I loved it. I will make this recipe a lot. I did add a little more parmesan cheese.

This was a nice side dish - a good change from rice or other pastas. We love it. We had to use dried basil but can imagine that it would be fantastic with fresh basil. Very simple - my 15 year old son made it for us tonight.

Very good, although I personally thought it was a bit too heavy on the cheese. I'll put less in next time, but bf LOVED it and finished off the rest of it (which I guess would've been a total of 3 servings for him). I just realized typing this review that I forgot to put any salt and pepper in and we still liked it a lot, so I'll definitely make it again. Great use for fresh basil! Thanks for the recipe!

This was pretty good, however, I didn't have Basil, so I used fresh cut chives instead and it everyone liked it. Next time I'll try Basil.

Dang good Orzo served with grilled butterfly lamb. When I sauteed I had several different colors of brown in the orzo. For chicken stock I use an Amish base so I can control the infulence. Basil was fresh from the garden, 1/3 cup. Result: I wish I had tripled the recipe and so does the family.

This was very tasty but I thought it could use some crunch, so I added some sliced almonds. Perfect!

This is a wonderful new way to make orzo. My family loved it. Also added a little EVOO to reduce sticking.

Easy and delicious. I added a little nutmeg, and about 1 TBL EVOO to reduce sticking. A new favorite!

This was absolutely delicious. I did make a few changes based on what I had on hand. I sauteed about 2 T. fresh chopped garlic and 1/4 c. finely diced red onion with the orzo and butter. I did not have fresh basil so I used fresh chopped baby spinach. I used shaved parmesan which gave it a nice, robust flavor. My husband loved it and asked me to make it again soon.

I thought this was awesome. I usually hate rice-a-roni side dishes, but I thought orzo by itself was fantastic. I agree that you could cut down on the butter and it would still be great. Our basil plants were going berserk so we were looking for recipes that needed fresh basil.

Usually side dishes are no big deal, but this was AMAZING!!! So yummy. I only used about 1 tablespoon of parm (all I had). I also added some garlic powder and pepper. Salt was not needed due to the chicken broth. My husband does not like boxed rice but LOVED this. He thinks it would be good with vegetables like peas. Will make again and again.

Excellent. Followed the directions and added one fresh, seeded, chopped plum tomato during the last 5 minutes. I wish I doubled the recipe.
