Very good. I didn't brown the orzo and still turned out great.

Delicious! We've made this several times as a side dish and loved it. Added browned sweet turkey italian sausage and it was delicious as a main dish with broccoli on the side. YUM! Thanks for the recipe!!

I ended up needing more liquid than called for. I'll make this again though and try differ combinations.

I was doing my best to use up the last of my basil and I don't think I could have found a better way! I forgot to take the reviewers advice and add garlic, but it was fantastic even without it! I did have to keep adding extra water when the orzo was cooking because it wasn't quite cooked enough. I also almost doubled the basil. I will certainly be making this again!

I didn't have fresh basil so I used the dried basil in my spice rack. It was still very good but next time I will buy fresh. Very easy to make and a yummy side dish.

Great recipe. This was my first time cooking orzo and everyone really liked it. I would recommend decreasing the cooking time or increasing the stock since mine turned out slightly dry. I will be making this part of our rotation.

What a nice change from rice or potatoes as a side dish! Other than cutting the butter down to 1 tbsp. I made it as the recipe states, and it's delicious. Definitely a make-again.

My husband and I love this recipe. It is a great side dish for any type of meat/poultry/fish. I don't always have basil on hand so a lot of times I just leave it out and it is great either way.

Totally fantastic! Instead of 1 cup orzo, I took a measuring cup and filled it half way with (approx.) 1 inch broken angel hair spaghetti pieces, and then topped it off with half a cup orzo (total 1 cup orzo/noodle pieces). This really gave it a rice-a-roni feel, which we loved! I used almost 10oz chopped spinach, and one tomato, diced. I kept in mind the reviews that mentioned dryness and added more chicken broth as needed. I added a tbsp garlic and a pinch crushed red pepper when it was simmering. I seasoned to taste with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne. If you add veggies you have to season a little more. To top it off, I toasted some walnuts, chopped them and sprinkled them on top of each bowl. Amazing and so delicious, I can't wait to make again.

This recipe was simple yet very delicious! An excellent touch that I added was toasting some pine nuts lightly on the stovetop in a pan, then adding them in the final steps, the nutty flavor of the nuts adds great flavor to the familiar ingredients to a pesto!

This was amazingly good! I didn't expect it to have a lot of flavor because it seemed so simple, but it did- I loved the parm/fresh basil combo. This will now be one of my go-to side dishes. Yum!

Just got done making it and WOW was it great. I always read reviews and am glad I did. Used more chicken broth (16 ounces), and used less basil. Burnt my tongue on the second "try it before you serve it" bite, because of course ONE try was so good I had to be sure it wasn't my imagination. Excellent recipe.

I love cooking with orzo as a substitute for boxed rice and this recipe is by far the best I've had. Followed the recipe exactly as written and served it with roasted pork tenderloin. So simple, affordable, and delicious. Definately a keeper at my house. Thanks for the recipe!
