Good flavor, but the orzo took longer than 10 minutes so the broccoli was in too long...got all mushy. Make sure to check the time on the orzo; the broccoli wont' take longer than 8 or 10 minutes.

great!!! it was so easy, and very good. it will be a staple here. it would have been great as written, but did a few things: i used turkey broth i still had frozen made from a turkey i had a while ago, used home grown tomatoes and fresh basil from my garden, subbed some yellow pepper and spinach for all of the broccoli, and used lemon pepper. loved it.

I was hesitant about this recipe on paper but it was a fast, healthy and tasty meal. I sauteed some garlic in the butter first and then toasted the orzo in the garlic butter like you would with risotto. I also added some hot sauce and lemon juice at the end, and used prawns instead of shrimp.

So Yummy and so quick! My variation (What I had on hand) Small frozen "salad" shrimp, mini shells pasta instead of orzo, and my can of tomatoes came flavored with roasted garlic but all else the same. It was great!

I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could for ease of preparation and healthy meal. I had leftover steamed broccoli, orzo and a bag of shrimp to use, so I tried this. I followed the recipe except I didn't have quite enough broccoli, the diced tomatoes were Italian style and my shrimp was pre-cooked. I just added it at the end and it worked. This is a simple, quick and healthy meal. You could easily leave out the butter. I added all spices/season while the orzo was cooking. I added the broccoli and shrimp at the end since they were pre-cooked. Did add a little garlic powder...I add garlic to everything. This is a keeper, good for a cold day! Thanks!

This is our go-to dish for company. So easy and so flavorful!! The boyfriend told me he could eat it 4x/week. Modifications--I saute up some shallots and fresh garlic first, and we add organic fire-roasted tomatoes for extra flavor. The broccoli is the best part--soaks up all the flavor and 5 cups are definitely needed. Also, this dish inspired a girlfriend and I to dream of opening a restaurant called "Orzo Me." with all orzo recipes--until someone just opened a place a few months ago called "Orzo." .

I found this recipe by plugging in the ingredients of shrimp and orzo( 2 ingredients that I knew I had on hand). Wow, what a great find! Not only did I have everything else on hand, but the recipe was quick and easy to boot. I did saute some chicken and onions before adding everything else and it turned out great. I served it with crusty bread and a few (or maybe more) splashes of Tabasco sauce. I will make this again.

Very good. I added sliced and browned Hillshire Farm Turkey smoked sausage. It would have been good without it, but we love adding other meats to our shrimp dishes. Also added some minced garlic. Thanks for the recipe. The Orzo was a nice change to traditional pasta or rice.

I made this recipe because I had leftover orzo from another dish and wanted to use it up. I didn't think that my husband would like it because of the large amount of broccoli in it, but he loved it! I still think that next time I will add some other veggies and decrease the broccoli.

This was pretty good. Just on its own, its a bit bland so I browned some chorizo sausage and added it to the stew at the end. I also substituted olive oil for the butter and added about a tablespoon of chopped garlic. I may add crushed Italian Herb tomatoes next time. I'll make it again but with my own twist.

I was impressed with the simplicity of this dish and the speed of prep. My 7 and 11 year old kids went for seconds, and my wife gave it a big thumbs up. I think I'll use a little more orzo next time to absorb more of the broth.
