I made a bunch of changes... but I've giving the recipe some stars for being a good starting point.
1) started with cooking chopped onion, minced garlic in olive oil.
2)Added a tube of soy chorizo that I found in the Mex grocery store that I just had to try.
3) Added can toms, ~4cups chicken stock, 5oz frozen spinach, thyme, dried italian seasoning. Boiled.
4) Added orzo, boiled, simmer for ~10min
5) Then added 1/2 lb shrimp for ~1 min
6) Salt and pepper to taste.
I prefer leafy greens in soup to broccoli.
