Used evaporated milk instead of whipping cream and vodka instead of whiskey. Tasted great!

I've had homemade irish cream before that was much better than this. This stuff came out too thick and sugary for me - next time I would use more cream or less condensed milk and chocolate syrup. I made it for St Patty's day and most of it is still sitting in my fridge a month later. The two times I tried to drink it I got a stomachache and a headache.

Everyone LOVED this, many asked for the recipe or how it was made. My only regret is that I didn't double the recipe! I took some of the advice of other reviewers, used melted chocolate chips in place of the syrup and totally omitted the almond extract. I did not adjust the amount of whiskey and noone seemed to think it was too strong. :) I will be replacing my regular Irish Cream recipe, which calls for eggs, with this one!

Yummy! I'm giving four stars because of the amount of whiskey called for (I used a premium irish whiskey...Michael Collins Blend) . I cut it down to 1 cup & after taste-testing thought it was still a bit strong so I added about 1/2 cup or so more cream. It mellowed quite a bit overnight though & on the second batch (I gave away all of the first) I didn't add additional cream. I used half cream & half 2% organic milk but on the second batch, I did a 3 to 1 ratio of cream vs milk. I also decreased the almond extract by half per reviews. Thansk for a wonderful recipe!

Made this for Christmas dinner as a dessert drink. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The ingredients cost about half what the store bought costs. Will definitely make again.

Super yummy! I also used 1/2 & 1/2, my husband said, "Yea-now we don't have to spend all that money. We could pour this in the other bottle and nobody would know the difference." I'm not so sure it tastes exactly the same, but its close enough for us. We'll definitely make this again.

delicious! made this for christmas gifts and got lots of compliments. as a bailey's lover myself, i thought it had a teensy bit too much of the almond flavor. next time i'll cut back.

Absolutely perfect. We love this mixed with a little milk and vanilla ice-cream in a blender - our own "Bailey's" shakes. Mmmmmm.

YUMMMM! Nice to find an Irish cream recipe that does not require raw egg. I followed the modifications of another reviewer with my own shortcuts - e.g. 1/2 tsp. almond, 1-1/4 C Whiskey, used instant coffee & about 25 melted choc. chips in milk in the microwave then added to other ingredients in blender. Perfect! **using melted choc. chips is a more "real" chocolate flavor than the syrup and chips are usually on hand** Thanks Mom and modgepodge for the recipe and suggested tweaks.

Very good, I'm not really a fan of Bailey's but I had to try it before I give it out as gifts. I used half & half and 1 cup of canadian whiskey but everything else I left the same. I think this has more of a chocolate taste and less "bite" which is probably why I like it better

I took others advice and used half and half rather than the heavy cream and I'm so glad I did. It was still a bit rich but good. I reduced the whisky to 3/4 cup and wish I would have cut it a bit more as it was quite strong. Definitely warms you up.

I followed the suggestions and used half and half, cut the whiskey to 1 cup and used 1/2 tsp. of almond. It was beyond good!! We had a lot of whiskey in the house and never drank it, I am sure that will change.
