This is AMAZING!!!I made it different because I didn't have the right peppers. So, I used 1-7oz can of diced green peppers. I also , per other reviewers, only used 2 of the dry Italian packets. Hubby raved and raved. Making it again today :) LOVE IT!!!

I loved this recipe. One of the best things I've ever made in my crockpot. I used the whole jar of pepperoncini, a little beer instead of water, and I added a small onion, sliced.

Have tried multiple versions of Italian beef from the site and this is the best. Used the Italian Salad Dressing mix from the site as it allowed me to control the salt. Also used 1 bottle of beer as was suggested by others.

The flavor seems good, but the cooking time is just too long. The Italian beef we are accustomed to is very thinly sliced. I would reduce cooking time, allow to cool and then slice. After sliced place the meat back in the juice and let it keep cooking. As written this is more along the line of a pulled pork consistency.

This is so simple, you would think it wouldn't be wonderful, but it is! I did sub beer for water. I served ours on hoagie rolls, with provolone cheese and a little spicy brown mustard...mmmm...

Y-U-M! The ONLY thing I changed was the water for a can of beer. Served the beef on buttered, toasted hoagie rolls with provolone. Soooo good!

It isn't Italian beef without the pickle juice. It will be the best you ever had if you add pickle juice!

This was a big hit with the grown ups, not so much with the kids. I used 2 packets of Italian dressing mix and half the juice from the peppers. It was super easy to make and the house smelled great!

Two Italian Dressing Packets or Three? The great thing about this recipe is it is so adjustable and easy. You just can't go wrong. My personal taste is Two Italian Salad Dressing Packs and add the jar of Peppers in with the meat to start. You really can't mess this one up. Thanks for sharing.

I've made this several times now and it's a regular in our rotation. I make it exactly as written. If you add the peppers they tend to overwhelm any leftovers eaten the next day.
