Great recipe, but we made the mistake of following one reviewer's suggestion of doubling the sauce. The end result was an otherwise tasty salad with entirely too much dressing. Stick with the original recipe, the sauce is strong enough already.

I was leary about a homemade dressing, but it was so tasty and everyone loved it. I will serve this again.

Excellent. I use snow pea pods instead of peas to make it even more asian.

My husband really liked this and he hates salads! I would use raw fresh peas next time instead of the thawed frozen.

This is really good!!! My husband would eat this every week. I add the dressing as we eat it, I don't pour it over the whole thing. It won't get soggy this way.

Definitely serve immediately if you put the dressing on otherwise the lettuce will get slimy if it sits for too long.

I was surprised at how good the dressing was. Nice that it used ingredients I always have on hand. Quick and easy to make. I'll definitely make it again.

Crisp, crunchy and tasty. Just the kind of salad to serve up on a hot and humid Texas day. I didn't mix the dressing into the salad as stated in the recipe . We just poured it on{ like syrup} that way the left over salad would stay crip and not soggy for left overs. Thanks for sharing .

the dressing is sweet and tangy- Loved it!! Not a fan of frozen peas or water chestnuts, so I omitted them and added sliced almonds instead. I also used a bag of romaine salad mix to speed things up. Very good.

Quick, easy and simply delicious!....My family was a bit hesitant to see a home made dressing for the salad and once the first bite was taken they all simply loved it and is a family favourite. My secret ingredient /twist to this salad is using sesame oil instaed of Veg oil and I promise it takes the recipe all the way to 5 stars!I added walnuts too.

Quick and Tasty! I left out water chestnut as a personal preference and my boyfriend added another handful of cashews to his serving. Easy to manipulate! AS I found out the next day, this salad doesn't keep very well. (the effect is similar to what happens to ceasar salad)

I omitted the nuts, and used the cole slaw pre packaged, I added 1 tsp. or so of ginger soy sauce also, yummy. These leftovers were calling my name all night.

The dressing alone is 5 stars! Will use it with other recipes as well. I did make some changes in the salad part. I used a bag of cole slaw cabbage mix instead of the lettuce. The slaw mix has great coloring and it was not only crunchy for first serving, but it retains some crunchiness for leftovers. I also used LaChoy Rice Noodles instead of Chow Mein. (They're smaller in size). Family loved it, even picky son-in-law!

The sauce is certainly terrific. However, I would probably use the double amount of it and put more chicken in, too.
