I am used to eating canned cranberry sauce, so this was a real treat. The flavors cannot compare-so rich and warm, with a citrus zing! This recipe made a lot of sauce, but it was quite easy to prepare. I'll never go back to canned!

Very good recipe and very easy to make. I cut the recipe in half because I didn't need that much sauce.

Good recipe! Family was amazed you could actually make cranberry sauce from scratch. I'm all for home cooked food, but I did find resistance from others when trying to get them to eat cranberry sauce that wasn't from a can.

Some of my guests really like this sauce. For myself I thought the cinnamon was too strong. My mistake most likely 'cuz I stored it overnight with the cinnamon sticks still in it.

I thought this cranberry sauce was really yummy, but everyone else leaned toward the traditional sauce that I made. Fine with me...I had plenty leftover to eat myself!! :P Thanks!!

This is amazing! I made it for Thanksgiving dinner and got nothing but compliments. The leftovers (if any!) are great with turkey and some plain cream cheese on a bagel - Yummy!! Thanks so much!!

I didn't like this at all, and neither did anyone at the table! The cinnamon flavor was almost overpowering....the whole thing just tasted too strong.

Very very good! My guests loved it, but don't do it unless you want the orange taste, 'cause it definitely has an orange taste to it as well as the cranberry.

For this Thanksgiving, I've made 3 different cranberry sauce recipes. This one is definitely the best! The cinnamon gives it a nice flavor. I let it thicken up quite a lot, and I think the thicker the better. Mine turned out a little too sweet, so I think next time I'll add a little bit less sugar. Otherwise, an excellent recipe!

I am not a real big fan of cranberry sauce, but this is so good. I was eating it right out of the pan. I made it the day before Thanksgiving and I am glad because it took forever to cook. I read the other reviews before hand and I made sure to not add to much water. Even without a lot of water it still took a very long time to cook. It was definetly well worth the wait. Next time I may try not adding any water at all since the cranberrys added quite a bit of liquid by themselves.

I prepared this several years ago for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. They ask me to prepare it now every year. You'll never buy cranberry sauce from a jar or can again.

This does make for a very interesting sauce. It was good but only in small quatites. I thought that is made way too much and I had about 10 for thanksgiving.

This was a hit on Thanksgiving, a nice change of pace. While I liked it , it was a bit tangy for me as I am not a big fan of citrus zest, but it had a great holiday flavor that my family loved. Make sure you taste throughout; you may want to add a little more brown sugar. And, also, I had forgotten that cranberries float...just add enough water until they would be covered if they didn't float. I don't think you can really mess up this really great recipe, so don't worry too much about that step. Also, it makes A LOT of sauce.
