Very subtle, delicious, and not too sweet. I only had mango/orange juice on hand so I used that and squeezed a couple tbsp. out of a fresh orange. I also halved the recipe since there's only 2 of us and we don't need a dozen muffins. I cooked it in a 6-muffin pan for 16 minutes and they're perfect!

These were very easy and good. The only thing I changed was to do half wheat flour and half white flour. Very simple recipe. I think I may add craisins next time for a pop of color and flavor.

made this as directed but used 2 tsp orange zest. it was orangey enough but not very sweet. sprinkled a few with an OJ/powdered sugar mix to see if it would sweeten it, but we decided we liked the original better. still yummy but just know they won't be very sweet.

I added 1 1/2 tbsp sugar and juice from one orange; next time I will add more zest. They tasted much better the 2nd and 3rd day.

Not the greatest muffins I had, they were way to small, and came out rather dry. will not make again

I made these a while ago and really liked them, but my family wasn't very enthusiastic... (Could be I put chocolate chips in some and it didn't go over quite as well as I was expecting...)

Since I live in "Mile High Denver" I always have to revise any recipes that are baked. When I mixed this batter it was very stiff, too stiff to work with and I added 2 tbsp. honey and an additional egg. I cut back on the baking powder and cut the oven temperature back to 375. They came out great. Butter on the warm muffins and dipped them in sugar, a product called True Orange and some cinnamon resulted in a really good muffin.

my rate can't really count, because I varied the recipe and didn't love how it turned out. I had a lot of oranges that needed to be used, so I found this recipe, pealed my oranges threw them in the blender and used that instead of the juice or zest. I added a ton (much more than the 1 cup) of the pureed oranges. rooky mistake? I don't know I am not a big baker. They were too dry, and didn't turn out as good. I should have read all the reviews (I usually do) but I was in a hurry. I have taken more of the puree and added pow. sugar for a glaze, that helped. my next batch I added a little water (maybe 1/4 cup) that helped a lot. I was also making banana bread and took part of my banana bread batch and added the orange puree, those were yummy! So live and learn, I will do these again, they were still yummy. I just need to try out some more ideas, and I will definitely try the cinnamon, great idea.

I threw most of these away, because the texture was just too rubbery. It was almost like eating a sponge. The flavor was good, but for some reason it was not as a muffin should be.

I made this because I originally planned to make the lemon cranberry muffins from this site but the cranberries were so tart so I didn't think that it would be good and since I had already mixed the dry ingredients I came upon this b/c I was looking at a little box of oj and an actual orange on my table that my daughter decided not to touch after crying for them....so I made the following changes: 1 extra egg///subbed canola oil for vegetable//added walnuts and cinnamon and fresh squeezed orange juice///i also used honey and the outcome was yummy! I am sure that they will be even better tomorrow morning!Thank you for sharing!!!!!

I needed to use up some of my oranges and found this recipe. I am glad that I did! The muffins were yummy! I did take the suggestions to add more sugar, juice and zest. I used 3/4 c sugar, a whole orange - zested and then the juices from that orange. I plan to modify this recipe for my friend that has a child with milk, nut, soy and egg allergies. Thank you so much for the great recipe! 2/7/09 - I substituted the egg for 2 TB of cornstarch and gave the recipe to my friend... She made the muffins and sent an email saying this "These were soooooooo good! I even made a glaze with orange zest, powdered sugar and orange juice. The first batch went so fast, I had to make another! Thank you!

Such a tasty (and easy) recipe! Not too sweet and the orange flavor was not overpowering. I "hid" a little spoonful of orange preserve in the center of the muffins before I baked them and they turned out to be a huge hit with my family! :)

These were very easy to make, and have a very nice orange flavour! I didn't read the reviews before making them, which I usually do. I think the suggestion of using plain yogurt is a good one, and will try it next time. Thanks for a great recipe!
