The rice was a 4 star for sure. It came out amazing. I found that the hens didn't have hardly any flavor. I'm not sure if I messed the recipe up somehow or got bad hens. I would make the rice over and over again anytime.

The cooking time was difficult to judge, and the rind was perhaps a bit much, but on the whole this chicken was quite delicious and was absolutely beautiful. It looked just as good (if not better) than the picture when it came out!

The cornish hens came out delicious, the stuffing is the show stealer, I've added dried cranberrries to it.

Complete failure. I followed the recipe and resulted in cornish hens swimming in orange juice. The glaze never thickened or , well, "glazed". It was not to my liking.

Just one comment. I'm English; Cornish splits aren't just the roll. The term covers the whole presentation, which is made up of these rolls, split and served with clotted cream and jam. The whole thing is a Cornish split, not just the roll.

I followed the recipe exactly. My family loves cornish hens. But the rice had way too much orange in it. the hens were ok. But the stuffing just over-powered the dish with an in-your-face orangeyness. Maybe it was just my family, but we couldn't get past the strong orange flavor. I would try again, but I would definitely take some of the other reviews advice and change it up.

This recipe is delicious. The rice was my favorite part. I added baby carrots to the pan for a side dish.

This was quite good but I tweeked it. Made brown rice cooked in low sodium chicken broth and added sliced fresh mushrooms & a clove of minced garlic to the celery&onion mixture & sauted all together. Used much less orange zest so it would not overpower the subtle rice flavor.
