I don`t have a clue how the poster below got no taste from these muffins as I thought they were wonderful! I found them to be moist but not cakey moist. They were just right. I used fresh squeezed OJ and choco chips and they turned out wonderful! Thx for a great recipe!

No orange flavor whatsoever. Quite disappointing. Even after adding the suggested extra orange juice by another reviewer. Perhaps using orange cream yogurt in place of the sour cream would make them better? Going to try one more time with the yogurt and see if that makes a difference. Also, not very moist. Hopefully the yogurt will help this?

So good. I made these for friends and they beg me to make these muffins all the time. Great recipe!

These came out very good! I used the 18 servings version and that yielded 6 jumbo muffins (texas muffin pans) and I greased the pan instead of using paper liners. I'm not sure how long I baked them, probably about 30 minutes, since my gas oven does not bake hot. I used whole wheat pastry flour, unsalted butter, and accidentally added 1 cup of OJ instead of a 1/2. So I added 3 more heaping tablespoons of flour to compensate. I used Ghiradelli 60% cocoa chips instead and added them at the end. I should have doubled the orange rind, as suggested, but I was out of oranges. They still came out delicious, and moist. If I make them again, I will add more orange rind, or orange extract, and I was also thinking that almond extract might be good.

I took these muffins to the office one morning and they were gone within an hour. Really good. I used 1/2 a 12 oz bag of chocolate chips rather then the shaved chocolate and added more orange peel (from 2 large oranges).

I doubled the chocolate and melted it with the butter and doubled the orange zest. Everything else was as recipe listed. (I wanted a chocolate muffin.)

These orange chocolate muffins were good. But I had a very hard time tasting the chocolate in them, and I grated more than the 1 oz. that the recipe called for. I just had one fresh out of the oven and even the orange flavor wasn't very strong. But the concept of orange/chocolate was quite unique.

Excellent. I did use plain yoghurt instead of sour cream. Both daughters and their boyfriends really liked them. I'm definitely adding these to the make again list. Many Thanks.

These muffins are good. I used chocolate chips instead of grated chocolate, and I added 1/4 tsp salt as I find them a bit insipid without it. I would also double the orange rind so its more zesty. All in all a good recipe. The muffins are very light and fluffy.
