a little disappointing... the orange taste was not quite as prominent as i would have liked and there was definitely something else laking, though i'm not sure what. Still, this is a good basis for a recipe and i will probably try it again when i am in the mood for experimenting with flavors.

Taste was 5-stars. Cook time was not ideal as the top overbrowned too early while the center was wet still in the full-size loaf pan--took the whole 60 to bake. I also made 6 mini loaves cooking at about 30min and those turned out perfect. Dont forget to melt the butter! But if you do, you can microwave the mixture of wet ingredients til it liquifies and then beat it. Lastly you can add store bought orange juice to the zest and fresh squeezed to increase orange flavor.

I really thought this was easy and tasted great. I started making it at 8 for a 9:30 meeting. It was perfect. Everyone loved it. I also used 1c whole wheat flour. I was confused by the first instruction to "grate the orange". It obviously meant to grate the orange PEEL which is what I did, then I just juiced what was left of it. I thought it was the perfect amount of orange flavor.

I loved this recipe and so did my husband. I used 2 oranges because I really like the orange flavor, and I had 2 oranges that needed to be used asap. I probably used close to 2 cups of chocolate chips too, but next time I will probably just use 1 cup. I will definitely use this recipe again!

I agreed with some others' reviews about this recipe. The orange flavor was a little too subtle for my taste. However, the bread was not overly sweet, which was nice. I did add about a teaspoon of ground cloves to the recipe. It added a nice twist to the bread, which my roommates loved. I think I will try a little lemon zest as well next time to increase the citrus flavor and make this bread a "five".

This is a good bread, especially for one with so little fat in it. I made it excatly as stated except that I baked it in 3 mini loaves for about 30 minutes. They looked beautiful. I gave two away as gifts and my family ate one. Good simple taste and easy to make.

I've been apart of the AllRecipes community for some time now, but had to re-create my user profile. Anyhow, I made this bread with my two sons under the age of 6 this evening. It's getting 3 stars becuase they liked it and my hubby enjoyed it. I thought it was just ok, it bakes up very pretty and slices nice, but the depth of taste is lacking.

Absolutely 5 stars. I made this for a bake sale and got orders for more loaves from people when it ran out. It is perfect as written.

This turned out really well. I used one cup of white and one cup of wheat flour since I always try to use wheat flour whenever I can. It turned out very moist which is a surprise since there is very little butter and no oil. The aroma is fantastic and the orange/chocolate combination is awesome. My husband is very picky but he gave this a high rating.

I made this for Christmas and everyone loved it. I even used wheat flour and splenda and it still had a great taste.
