I created a login name on allrecipes just to get on and say how awesome this recipe is! I just got a new wok, and I wanted to try to make chinese food - I've always loved chinese food. This little white girl made some dern good orange chicken! I live in a dorm, and several people came and ate it, it was awesome stuff. I threw in some bamboo, water chestnuts, peas, carrots and broccoli, as well as just a little ginger and nutmeg in the sauce. If you add lots of vegetables, you might want to double or 1.5 the sauce. This is an awesome recipe! You know how chinese food leftovers smell so unique the next day? This smells like that! I'm eating leftovers for breakfast right now. Yay orange chicken! Thanks Kelly.
By the way, if you want to try something different from rice, run to the asian supermarket and pick up some Japanese somen noodles, they're thin short wheat flour noodles, a big packet of them is 60 cents. Throw some soy sauce in the water you're cooking them in when you get started, and a little oil to help prevent sticking. These noodles are good man!
