All I can say is....YUMMMMMY! Just made this it was quick and simple. I doubled the recipe and cooked it in a larger casserole dish. I thought it was pretty sweet on its own but as a topping its PERFECT. I packed my brown sugar pretty tight might want a looser pack. Just a quick note for people who have never made a granola before; when you pull it out of the oven it will still be moist but as it cools it drys out. So don't cook over 30min or it will be very hard. OH and the house smelled AMAZING while it was cooking. I wanted to lick the walls.

Fabulous! I had this on my oatmeal this morning and I loved it! Very easy to make and quick to put together. I had mine in the oven for 20 minutes stirring once half way through. It was perfect!

This is AMAZING. I wanted to make dry granola today for topping yogurt, but am almost out of oats, so I decided to try this one instead since I have plenty of wheat germ to get rid of. It's fantastic! If you pack it down hard each time you stir it, you'll get hard chunks, which taste like Nature Valley plain granola bars. In fact, this tastes MORE like Nature Valley than any other homemade granola recipe I've ever tried. I did use dried orange peel, but next time I'll put the effort into zesting an actual orange; this is worth it. This recipe has a yield of 32 tablespoons, IE 2 cups. (Note to self: Using Splenda brown sugar blend, the calories are: 41 calories per tablespoon. Using Splenda brown sugar blend uses half the sugar measurement.)

Left out the orange peel because I can't stand the strong flavor of citrus peels. I did everything else the same tho and mixed it in with the rest of my cold cereals. Used it as a cereal, not a topping.

This stuff is awesome! I made it last night I wanted to taste it before going to bed and ended up eating 5 tblsp. :) I'll eat it on top of ff vanilla yogurt this morning but I agree with other reviewers you can sprinkle it pretty much on anything you want like pancakes, parfaits but I'll try Jillians idea of sprinkling muffins with it and I'm going to add chopped nuts to the mix. Thanks Rufus for sumitting your yummy recipe! This is a wonderful recipe. We used to it to top 'Sunny Pancakes' (AR's) and it was so good. I love that it adds both flavor and extra nutrition to whatever it goes on. We will keep this one on hand all the time. Thank you, Rufus!

Great stuff! I love wheat germ so I had to try this. I'm glad I did. I sprinkled it over some fat free vanilla yogurt - YUM! I can see a lot of uses for this - over warm oatmeal, in fruit salad, over pancakes or french toast, layered in a yogurt parfait, etc... I wonder if this might even be a topper for cranberry muffins?????

This is a great addition to hot breakfast cereal, though I'm sure it can be used in other ways. I sprinkled it on Orange Cranberry Oatmeal from Allrecipes. Very tasty!
