I used multigrain baking mix,and squeezed an orange for the 1/2 cup juice. I added 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Unfortunately these are still very very bland, they come out tasting like biscuits. the topping is great though, will have to try it on other muffin recipes.

These actually turned out dry - could it be my gas oven? I baked for 15 minutes and mine were done. I added extra cinnamon and some ginger too, and they were still kind of bland. I like the idea, but the recipe needs work. Maybe a cream cheese, powdered sugar and orange juice icing with no streusel? It's a good starting point.

Very moist and very tender. The flavor was a lot more mild than I thought, so next time I'll add cinnamon/nutmeg to the batter as well, and use orange juice concentrate instead of regular orange juice. The crumb topping was outstanding.
