This is definitely a keeper. It's a light and refreshing salad. As others stated, I used less sugar.

Yumm - it was so easy and delicious. I did add less sugar for my taste. I have cucumbers coming off the vine quickly, and I will use this recipe for my snacks also.

I just made this and was surprised how good it is even without being marinated. I was hesitant to use the celery seed since I am not much for celery seed but am surprised how good it made it taste. I used Splenda in place of the sugar. It is very tasty. Potluck after church tomorrow will tell how good it is. This is my first cucumber salad and it was tempting to alter the recipe but I stuck to the recipe and glad I did. I didn't have any pepper so I omitted it. (Editing the next day)-It was a big hit with everyone at the potluck. I tripled the recipe and barely had any to bring home. It was delicious and I took the left over brine and added more cucumbers and celery seed in one dish and added raw beets in the second dish of brine. We will see tomorrow how that comes out.

Cucumbers aren't my favorite vegetables but we were given some fresh ones from a neighbor's garden. This recipe was perfect for them. Followed the recipe exactly, in a smaller serving format, and the salad was excellent.

I loved this salad and especially loved the celery seed in it. I did halve the sugar, but the rest I followed. It was amazing!

Great recipe! My whole family loved it. I did cut back on the sugar to just 1 cup and I used 2 English Cucumbers because that's what I had on hand. Next time I will buy more cukes!

This is a delicious refreshing salad. I did make a couple changes, using Splenda in place of sugar as my husband is diabetic, and I added a little lime juice. I'll be making this often! Thanks for a great recipe!

Wow! This was great. I cut the recipe down since I only had 1 cucumber on hand, now I wish that I had more. The salad reminds me if the cucumber salad I could always find in the N.Y. deli's. Thanks for the memories. The recipe is a keeper.

I have made this before omitting the peppers and using a 2 red onions and it is amazing. The red onion gives it a nice color. Next time I make it i'll submit a picture. Very refreshing for a transitional dish after a hearty foods all winter.

Great, used less sugar thanks to the reviews and only had time to marinate for 3 hours. Still tasty.

Great for South Beach Dieters!! I easily replaced the sugar with Splenda and it turned out great. I made it in the morning and grilled chicken to go with it in the evening. After it sat all day it was even better!

This recipe is wonderful! I substituted Parisien Bonnes Herbes for the celery seed, and it added a nice taste. It was easy and made enough for a party of 20 people. Definitely a crowd pleaser!!

My husband and I both love this recipe. I was looking for a cool summer salad and will make it often this summer. It's very simple and easy and so good! I'm also trying it with other vegetables such as tomatos, carrots and celery. So far everything has been great using this recipe.

Excellent recipe. I cut the green pepper and also put in half the sugar (thus four stars). The celery seed is essential! If you like onions they could easily be doubled. Thanks for the recipe.

Refreshing and simple, a summer classic! I omitted the green pepper, doubled the onion and used white wine vinegar instead of white vinegar. Very sweet recipe, when I make it again I'll halve the sugar.
