I made this cake and added a buttercream frosting and WOW! I also added 1 c. up brown sugar which made it absolutely yummy too!

I followed the recipe but only reduced the sugar content. It tasted exactly how i wanted - not too sweet. I baked exactly for 35 mins and the surface is a bit crunchy but soft and moist inside. perfection!

This was a good cake I make this for a friend of mine. Just put all ingredients into the mixing bowl mixed low 30sec and high 3min. Super easy truly one bowl. Was done in 25min when I checked maybe my oven. Used super easy icing 3tbl butter/3tbl cocoa/1cup icing sugar/1tbl milk or as needed and 1/2 tsp vanilla essence. Mix all together and frost cake. You can add more icing sugar if prefer sweeter. This makes 1 cup. cake.

So easy and so delicious! I use whole wheat flour with this recipe. I think the whole wheat gives it a more interesting texture. Either way.. great recipe!

This cake is easy to make, however, somehow I found my cake to crack and sink a little. But other than that, my mom simply loved it and I'd definitely stick to this recipe from now on!

This cake came out prefect! I followed the recipe as is - no changes and the cake was very chocolatey and soft. I didn't even need to put icing on it. Very tasty!

This is the BEST one bowl cake I have ever made. Beats my mum's all hollow. Really really really good, my 14 year old twins devoured it, and so come to think of it, did my husband. :)

I was going for easy, so I took it a step further by mixing the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl first, then "dumped" in the rest and beat for about 3 min, scraping the sides, making it a truly "one bowl" chocolate cake. I took advice from another review and cut the sugar to 1 C, and I had plain yogurt I needed to use so I used 1/2 C of that and one cup milk to avoid any possible dryness. It's delish!

This cake was pretty good. I've had better chocolate cakes. I chose this recipe because of the easiness of the recipe. I took most of it to work and I got marriage proposals! They loved it there.

Wonderful, moist recipe. I did make a change, and added 1 bottle of chopped maraschino cherries. I think you could modify this recipe in any number of ways and still have it come out great!

I thought this was just ok. It was easy, and fast, but nothing special. Maybe frosting would have tipped the scales. I think if I was in a hurry again, I'd made Crazy Cake instead for chocolate cake.

Very moist in the center, the edges were a little dry but I think I baked it too long (my fault). It was very chocolately! The frosting is a different recipe.
