Great rice dish! I made this because it sounded similar to picadillo which I love, and this was also a winner for me. Sweet plump raisins and tangy olives went well in this and it had an exotic flavor. I used frozen diced green pepper, dried minced onion and some onion powder, and a bit of garlic salt as well as the minced garlic. I feel like this needed something else though, maybe cinnamon or cumin? Very good rice, Thanks for sharing, I loved this dish!

This turned out pretty good. It wasn't too spicy with all the onions and the rasins gave it a pleasant sweetness. I didn't add the last 1 cup of water because I used frozen bell peppers. I might try this with currents next time.

Very tasty dish. Everyone in my family loves it, even those who don't care for rice. It's very moist. Sometimes I make it with leftover cooked rice, in which case I have to add about 1/2 cup liquid to create the moistness otherwise provided by the broth and water in the original recipe.
