I made this potato salad tonight, and it was outstanding. I wouldn't have thought to use this much pickle relish- (but I always follow the recipe exactly the first time I make a dish) and I'm glad I did. My wife loved it, and She usually shies away from mayo & onion. Thanks for this one!

I very much liked this potato salad. It was just what I was looking for: something simple, easy to make, no fancy ingredients, and nice flavor. However, I give it four stars because it lacked a little 'zing.' It was very mild, and I prefer a peppier potato salad. Also, there wasn't enough 'sauce' for five big potatoes. Next time I will increase the amount of sauce or decrease the number of potatoes, and add something to give the salad a little bite. Thanks for the recipe!

This was good..I'd do without the celery next time. Sometimes I like it...sometimes I don't. Didn't add the egg...pretty good!

This is an excellent recipe for potato salad. I doubled the recipe and left out the relish as I'm not fond of pickles, but it was great anyway.

pretty good. I was worried about over cooking the potatos and ended up under cooking them. Even still, I think it's lacking a bit flavor wise

I change this up a bit...I use dill pickles, and green onion, and dijon mustard. I also don't add the celery but that's just personal preference. It's a great base recipe to change up as you see fit!

Easy recipe, but everyone agreed it lacked a little flavor. I followed the advice of others mixing yellow and dijon mustard, but still needed something more. Maybe more eggs and more salt will help next time.

This is the one! Seriously.... this is the first potato salad where it turned out perfect and everyone complimented me on the finished dish. I have had so many failures in the past, it was great to finally arrive at the perfect potato salad recipe.

Really good! I left the potato skins on, for my personal preference and I didn't have celery. .. so I just did without. Still very good result and quite a hit. Oh yeah, I also sprinkled in some paprika. Thanks!

I ended up with way too much relish for my liking in the potato salad. Next time I'll cut down on the amount of relish and mustard.

Very good base recipe. I also had to double (or more) the spices, added parsley (about 1 tablespoon). Also, added 2 Tablespoons of sugar and doubled the mayo. I have made this recipe by boiling the potatoes whole and then peeling and cutting them and by peeling and cutting them before I boil them. Either way turns out great and if you peel and cut first you have more of a handle on how soft the potatoes get.

Yum! This recipe is most similar to my mother-in-law who has been making her potato salad for decades! Now I finally have the exact measurements. I did make the following changes: doubled the sauce, used green onions, sprinkled it some All Seasoning, and added about 1/4 cup of Miracle Whip to give it some tang. I recommend making it the day before if you can--it gets better with time.

A lot of adjustments needed to be made, but this was a very good start. Recommend chopped dill pickles (instead of sweet relish), doubling the mayo, doubling the spices, and doubling the eggs. Add a little fresh dill and some chopped black olives, and you have a hit!
