Easy to make and delicious. I have never made desert before I am always just making dinners. My boyfriend and friends loved it. I used apples instead of peaches because peaches arent in season and just sauteed them longer in the butter and juices. I also suggest making more crust as it is a little hard to stretch it all out.

I have almost entirely quite using this site. I am so sick of these "better than thou" cooks who take a recipe, then change it beyond recognition. This recipt is fine, the orange juice changes to peach flavor rather than the reverse, the pie crust is fine--use a pastry marble pin and board-- or make slightly more. But if you are experienced with pie crust, as I said, the recipt is fine. The one and only change that may be necessary is to add more cornstarch. Flavoring changes are always optional, and dependant on ones tastes.

This cobbler was terrific! I had never made a cobbler before, but I do know what they are supposed to taste like and this was great! I did a couple of changes because I am dieting and I was making this for 2 people. I bought 2 lbs of fresh frozen peaches in the bag. I used 2 cups of Splenda Sugar which cuts down several calories because Splenda has 0 calories and is not as sweet as regular sugar. I also used 1/4 cup of brown sugar. I bought 2 frozen pie shells. I browned one of the pie shells. I cooked the peaches and combined ingredients on the top stove for about five minutes until all was mixed thoroughly. Poured mixture into cooked pie shell and placed 2nd pie shell on top of cobbler. Poked holes in top pie shell and brushed butter on top and sprinkled top with Splenda, baked 30 minutes and it was delicious and a lot less calories.

5* for the crustalone. Buttery, flaky, my search for the perfect pie crust is over. For fresh peaches, most ppl are using 3.75 -4 lbs (9 lg or 13 sm-med peaches). For canned it is (4)regular sized 15 oz cans or (2) 30 oz cans. Crust: 3c flour, cut sugar down to 2T, 1/2t - 1t salt depending on if you're using unsalted or salted butter, a bit less than 1/4c water. Roll out on wax paper so it's easier to transport. The filling: 1T lemon juice, 3T orange juice. I decrease the amount of lemon juice so I could use less sugar. Decrease the amount of OJ b/c I didn't want a wet filling. 1/2c butter, 1c sugar (1/2 brown 1/2 white), 1/4t nutmeg, 1/4t ginger, 1/2t cinn, 1 tsp vanilla. the nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla extract are all optional. Finally 3T of cornstarch. Prebaked bottem crust for 10-15m, then added filling and top crust. Place a cookie sheet under pan to catch and drippings. Baked at 375 for 30m, then brush on some egg white, and baked for another 10m until golden brown.

We all loved this cobbler! I made extra crust and covered the top, used 3 ½ lbs. of canned peaches along w/ the syrup, added more corn starch to thicken, ¾ cup sugar, ½ cup of brown sugar, omitted the orange juice, and added 1/4 cup of cinnamon liquor. Used a 9x13 cake pan and cooked for about 40 minutes.

This recipe was very good (my first cobbler), only I don't think I am a 'double crust' cobbler person. There was too much dough and not enough filling (even though I followed other poster's advice and used more peaches). The bottom crust also stuck to the baking pan even though it was well greased. Perhaps the use of a ceramic dish was the culprit? The filling and top crust were delicious, (didn't have orange juice on hand, so I made without, and used only 3TBSP butter) I would make this recipe again, for sure, but next time I will only put a top layer of crust, and double the filling.

This recipe was great! Mine turned out more like a pie though. I used the remaining ingredients to create "Peach Cobbler Toddlers" As I call them. I used a cupcake pan and lined each cupcake hole with the crust. Then I added the remaining filling to each one and covered them with another layer of crust. They were perfect for the quick snack! My family absolutely loved them!

I have used this several times. This recipe has given others the impression that I am a real cook. I love it and the best thing is I can take this to any event and it is a great hit. I have added a teaspoon of vanilla flavor to give it a great kick. Thank you.

OUTSTANDING! The recipe submitted by the top reviewer worked wonderfully and do what (s)he says and add another 50% of the crust recipe into the dough, you'll need the extra to cover the top perfectly. But alas, it was fantastic.

This is great, BUT it's not a cobbler. It's a PIE. The only difference here is that you're putting it in a square pan instead of a pie pan.

This is very good. I used 2 tblsp of cornstarch and left the rest of the recipe as is. It was very watery until it cooled completely, then it was fine. I would suggest using a slightly bigger recipe for the crust though. Very tasty though!

Good but I should have increased the corn starch to about 2 1/2 to 3 TBSP. I little too much juice.

This is a keeper! Just made it tonight. Last week I tried a recipe from this site but the crust was cakey. This one is excellent. Crust recipe is yummy, slightly sticky but just add a little flour when you notice it's too sticky as you roll it. I took reviewers advice of: Increase crust amount. I made 1.5 X, cut sugar by half (I don't like extra sweet dessert), cut orange juice by half, increase cornstarch to 3 TBSP (instead of 1 TBSP), Brush eggwash on top layer dough to make it look nicer. 4 stars as is, 5 stars after modifications. Will make again for sure.

The filling was deliciouse, but very sweet. I would cut the sugar in half next time. The crust was too greasy. I don't know what was wrong with my dough. It was too wet to roll, so I pressed it down on the pan. Next time, I will reduce the liquid and sugar. It was so yummy though.
