Pancakes came out very bland and smelt odd. I even added vanilla and it did not help.

I made these exactly as instructed. Delicious! Better than any box mix. The family plowed through them in no time flat. A big hit with the kids. For a few pancakes, I added a few blueberries to the batter after scooping it onto the grill, and they were fabulous.

Well, I thought these were great! I didn't taste much of the salt at ALL. They were light and fluffy, and my two year old who is very picky at times loves them. You won't be disappointed. Unless you're as picky as a toddler.

Can I just say WOW. I will never go back to boxed pancake mix. WOW. These came out light and fluffy and delicious. They make 8 pancakes when using 1/3 cup. My kids love helping me make them. And they love watching them puff up. when I flip those. I followed the recipe exactly and they came out perfect. They are so good we haven't even started adding fruit or even chocolate chips. I have to also say after watching the video of chef John. my pancakes come out a LOT fluffier. and a LOT thicker. I don't know why but they do.

I really like this recipe. I've never made pancakes from scratch so when I used this recipe and tasted the batter it tasted much saltier than the pre-maid mix brand. I had made both the shake n' pour and this recipe to compare. I added the vanilla extra that a user said just because I always like a hint of vanilla. These pancakes came out light and fluffy and really just perfect. The shake and pour didn't come out nearly as good. This one is a keeper!

These were very light and fluffy. I would add less salt next time though, realized after adding the salt I only had salted butter and it was a bit much. I can't have regular milk so I used vanilla soy milk and it was very good! Would be really good with cinnamon added too.

Fantastic recipe! It's absolutely perfect just as written. I didn't use cooking spray though, but they did just fine in a bit of vegetable oil. So fluffy and tender, just like diner flapjacks. I have no clue why anyone wouldn't rate this 5 stars.

This are soooo good. I substituted the sugar with liquid stevia, and i used 1/4c coconut flour and 1c all purpose flour. What a great breakfast. Thanks for sharing

Don't do 1 tsp of salt! that is waaaaay too much but you can do 3 pinches instead and the flavor of these pancakes are delicate and delicious! follow the recipe accordingly minus the salt, kudos to the chef!
