They came out good, but took longer than expected to make...they are pretty messy too...I think the batter should be spiced up first....

Best Onion Rings EVER! I have used this exact recipe and alter it from time to time to compliment the dish I am making. Bread crumbs make all the difference to me, but other do no like them. Either way they make a great onion ring.

These came out really good and tasty once I got the oil heat just right. If the oil is too hot they will burn!

This is the way I remember Onion Rings from when I was a kid. These are not the same ole Pub Grub that comes out of the bottom of a box on the floor of a freezer somewhere...these are the real deal! Crunchy, delicious!

My boyfriend absolutely loved these! He told me that he never liked onion rings but that these were delicious (better than most restaurants) and even asked me to make them again sometime. Thanks so much for the recipe!

These were great. Yes, a lot of work. I followed exact but next time will add some spices to the batter and bread crumbs.

Anyone who lives in Canada will know which drive thru you are talking about after trying these. All I can say is I have tried a ton of copy-cat recipes and they are always close but not quite. This isn't a copy cat recipe, this is the real thing! So yummy and you have saved me lots of money.

These were fabulous!! I've never made onion rings at home like this! I didn't have a deep fryer, so I just put 2" or so of oil in my pot and used my digital probe thermometer to test the temp of the oil on the stove top. Crisp and crunchy and well worth the effort! :)

It didn't work for me to dip the raw onion rings into the batter and fry them because the onions were raw and the breaded part was getting burnt. So I tried dipping all the onion rings in first just to get it slightly cooked and then dipped it again in the batter. This worked much better for me. I used a mixture of panko bread crumbs and plain bread crumbs. I also spread them out on a plate and coated the rings there. I didn't try the bag option suggested by the other reviews.

"These are the best onion rings I've ever had! Waaaay better than Sonic!" - My husband :) So yummy! I dipped the onions in the egg/milk mixture, then in the flour, like another user said. The breading stuck very very well! I didn't have regular bread crumbs, so I substituted Italian. I added garlic salt and pepper to the crumbs as well. They were so yummy! Plus, they were really pretty, with all the little parsley flecks in them! :) Thanks for the great recipe!

If I could give more stars I would. The kids LOVED this recipe, as did I. I wouldn't change a thing about it, but I did substitute because I didn't have bread crumbs, so I crushed up Ritz crackers and used them instead. They were very good.

These rings were awesome!! I added some season salt and garlic pepper to my bread crumbs for a little extra. I like that this batter didn't cover up the taste of the onion. These are also not as greasy as a thick batter that asorbs all of the grease.
