This is a great recipe!! My husband and daughter loved them. You can also cut the onion thin and put them on top of hamburgers or any of your favorite sandwiches. So good and crispy.

Had a craving for onion rings so decided to try these. WOW!! The best onion rings I have ever had. I used seasoned breadcrumbs because that is all I had.

I made these for Father's Day lunch and my husband loved them. I used the Panko bread crumbs, and seasoning salt, rather than regular salt. Everyone loved them and I got nothing but compliments. I also used buttermilk rather than regular milk, it is thicker and the batter holds on better. The only suggestion I have is to buy more breadcrumbs. We had more onion rings and ran out of the crumbs.

They were ok. Needed a little more flavor. May make them again and add a little bit of spice.

I think I must have done something wrong. The batter stuck on the onions like crazy, but all the bread crumbs fell off!! Maybe I could try these again.

These are delicious. I followed the recipe exactly, but only with half an onion since it was only for two people. I did end up having to re-dip some of the rings in the batter before coating with crumbs, but the result was onion rings that my DH said were the "best he's ever had."

Very very good! I shook a closed container to cover the onions with the flour mix. I also used panko bread crumbs. Very crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I used vidalia onions for this recipe. I made these with the 'Actually Delicious Turkey Burger' I found on this website. An awesome combination!

These are the best onion rings I have ever had. The two times I have made these I used Vidalia Onions. I don't think I will ever try this recipe with regular onions. Set oven to 225 and keep a pan in the oven with paper towel on it. When a batch comes out of the oil put it in the oven. It keeps the rings warm and crisp.

I made these last night with our brats-on-the-grill... and they were AWESOME! I used the baggie trick... first flouring them in the bag, I then put them on a plate and added the milk/egg to the flour and smooshed it up. I put all of the rings into the batter while I put a mix of panko and bread crumbs into the second bag (didn't have enough panko) then took the rings out of the batter, breaded them and into the deep fryer. My only advice is to use only PART of the breading mix at the beginning because it got soggy before I was done with all the rings and I had to add more bread crumbs. So, if you hold some back, that problem will be solved. Also, since we like ONION flavor, I added about a tsp of toasted onion powder to the original flour mix, along with some Johnny's seasoning salt. They were WONDERFUL... flavorful, crisp and onion-y! This will be my go-to recipe for onion rings from now on!

wonderful! Just like the restaurant! The only tweek I did was to NOT let the batter drain off. The Panko sticks much better.
