Very Good. Used frozen green beans and let cook long enough to take the chill off before adding other ingredients and didn't need as much water. Will make again.

First time I made these with wax beans and they turned out great. The second time I used green beans and added golden raisins to the sauce. It was really good this way.

Very good dish. My husband requested something like this because he said that his grandma used to always make them this way. He approved! I added a small amount of diced onion toward the end of the bacon cooking. Wasn't sure if I should drain the bacon grease before adding the beans or not. I left it in and I think it helped with the flavor, just make sure to serve with a slotted spoon.

These were great. I ran out of brown sugar, so I used sugar and molasses, and instead of water I used beef broth. Will make again.

Yum! These green beans are super easy to make and so good. I made them for a small dinner party and they received more compliments than any of the other dishes. Will definitely make again and maybe use turkey bacon to make the dish a little healthier.

Awesome recipe. I am not a fan of green beans usually, but I'd eat this anytime. Even my kids, who are (like most kids) not big on veggies, ate these up. My only regret is I didn't make more!

Classic green bean recipe! Made these for a friend of mine and he raved more about these beans than the main dish they accompanied. Though I did use chicken broth in place of water.

These were excellent! My husband even loved them, and he's not a big veggie eater. I used frozen whole green beans, and just defrosted them a little before adding to the pan. I also used a little less water since the beans had some in them already. I wish they were a little less fattening, but I didn't care while eating them!

I'd like to give this 4 stars, but can't because of the house's mixed reviews. We all agreed that this was a bit greasy, and needed some salt. I didn't add any because I thought the bacon would be salty enough, but the sugar cuts that. Some liked the sweetness of sugar, others didn't. I'll definitely make this again, draining some fat and adding a pinch of salt. It beats the standard steamed beans!

RIdiculously good. I've made these twice. I generally use a little less brown sugar, but they taste good either way.

My 2 and 4 yr old and hubby loved it, and also made it for another family and they liked it! Don't use maple or brown sugar bacon...I accidentally did and with the brown sugar in the recipe it was just a little too sweet. Next time I'll use regular bacon or smoked bacon.

These were very good. I did need to cook them on medium heat for another 10 minutes to get them cooked, though. After the 15 on low, they were too raw/crunchy.

I read the reviews, didn't use sugar and I only had canned beans and they turned out great. Also added in Onions before the beans and sauteed them first. Really liked the added flavor. Great side dish.
