First time I've ever made a homemade pie-It turned out great-This is defenitly a keeper. The only thing I changed was I put less meringue on it because my Hubby says he don't like alot of white fluffy stuff on top. I would be proud to make this for recipe for anyone!

I have made this 4 times. Has been a bit too sweet. I used a deep dish pie crust. I did everything exactly as the recipie directed and the pie turned out beautiful.

This was wonderful! I made it for my dad's birthday when I could not find a handwritten copy of my grandmother's old recipe. This is just like hers. Dad now asks me to bring this every time we come over to eat. ps- if the meringue slides, it is because you have not prepared it correctly. (you can google "perfect mergingue" to get lots of tips on making it) Nothing about the recipe itself would cause that.

Giving this recipe 5 stars because my family didn't even make it to the meringue. Smelled so good they didn't even let it cool completely. Tasted every bit as good as it smelled. I cook a LOT (6 kids) of different things for variety. Eight people can't be wrong. Maybe next we'll make it to meringue.

This pie had good flavor but the consistency of the texture was off. The pie filling separated from the merangue causing it to slide off the top as I served it. I will not make again.

Pretty yummy pie. I didn't really like the consistency very much, though. Next time I'll have to do something to make it a little firmer, and I think I'll also chop up the coconut, so it doesn't have that chewy-coconuty feel. I think this recipe would also be great with a little coconut extract for extra flavor. I liked the simplicity of this recipe, so I'll probably try it again, but with a few alterations. Thanks!

This recipe is great. I made a coconut meringue pie from scratch for the first time using this recipe and it was awesome! My family really liked it and I did too.

Being from the South I have had my share of great coconut pies and this recipe is definitly a great one! I made this pie for our Easter dessert when I couldn't find the recipe I had intended to use. Be sure to take your time with this recipe because if you heat the mixture too quickly and don't stir constantly you will have scrambled eggs in your pie. Great recipe and will definitely use again and again!
