I checked out all of the recipes and this was the one I really loved. It is spicy and delicious. I added a touch of espresso powder to the re-hydrating of the raisins and it truly is a breakfast cookie. The brown sugar to white is a perfect ratio.

These turned out OK. They were a little runnier than I wanted them to be and so the cookie was too crunchy on the edges. Still soft and chewy in the middle though. I agree that you should definitely cream the butter with the sugar first, then add egg, and the dry ingredients (already mixed) They also needed to be cooked for only 8 minutes, not 10, but that could just be my oven.

I made these cookies for my husband who loves Oatmeal Raisin cookies. He said they were the best he had ever had. He likes them chewy and we have been through several recipes trying to find the right one. My daughter made them for a 4H contest and one first place. I don't like oatmeal raisin cookies at all and I tried one and thought they were pretty good! So definately a keeper.

Delicious! I tried to follow the recipe exactly, but I had to substitute Crisco for butter, because it's what I had on hand. Found the needed to cook 11 minutes here.

These are great. We go through a lot of cookies, especially oatmeal raisin (my husband's favorite), and I have gotten into the habit of buying cookie mixes because they're so convenient. I multiplied this recipe and put the batches in separate Ziploc bags to have homemade (and cheaper) mixes on hand. I think next time I will double the recipe, though, as I didn't even get 2 dozen from this one.

This turned out beautifully as a gift for my boyfriend's mother. 4 stars because she hasn't made them yet! If they taste great too then I'll add the 5th! One "hint" however. Make sure you pack down all of the ingredients, otherwise they won't fit in the jar!!!
