Amazing! Definitely worth the extra time to make the filling, too!

Best cookies I have ever made! I didn't even make the cream filling- these were perfect all by themselves!

He-Man of the cookie kingdom!! Absolutely amazing! BETTER than a Nutter Butter cookie...never thought I would ever say that. Chewy with crunchy edges and peanut buttery goodness. Filling is perfect, not too sweet. Regarding the flatness of the cookie: I used margarine instead of butter, this creates a flatter cookie, no need to flatten with a fork (this is true with any cookie recipe). Didn't have heavy cream, so used skim milk instead with no problem. Also used a small ice cream scooper to drop onto cookie sheet, which created perfect round cookies in about 3 minutes. Took only a half hour for entire cookie project, including cooking and assembling time.

The cookie itself was delish, especially with the oats. Gave it a different texture, however, this is a very fattening cookie, especially with the creamy center... butter AND heavy whipping cream? I did make the center and my husband and son said it didnt add anything to the cookie so I now make them w/no creamy middle. The cookie itself is great tho!!!

These go overkill on the peanut butter, in my opinion. Rich peanut butter cookie with rich peanut butter filling and another rich peanut butter cookie made it ... too much peanut butter. I think a light cream filling would have made these a lot nicer. It definitely would add uniqueness and variety to the flavor. However, the cookies by themselves were excellent. Great flavor and texture. Just didn't like the filling.

These. Are. Delicious! As a variation, I added dark cocoa powder to the filling to make chocolate pb cream, and it is amazing.

These taste just like I remember the GS cookies tasting. Yum! Family devoured these almost before I could get one! Fortunately, I doubled the recipe and have more dough in the fridge to make more soon. Definitely a keeper recipe. Thanks for sharing it Joanne!

I've made these cookies 3 times now and they're always a hit. My brother drools at the mere mention of them. My boyfriend says they're even better than Pirate cookies. I wouldn't change a thing in this recipe! As other reviewers have suggested, a melon baller is a great tool for spooning out the right amount of dough. I was able to make 24 perfectly-sized cookies this way.

These are incredible, and I'm not even a huge PB cookie fan. my boyfriend said they're the best cookies he's ever had! mine were done sooner than 10 minutes.. the ones i left in for 10 minutes were still good but a little bit darker on bottom than i wanted. at about 8 minutes the next batch was perfect! so just watch them. i did press them down a little bit with a fork before baking to make sure they were flat for the sandwich effect (but still chewy! so good)

These cookies will have you do-si-do'ing around the kitchen! Knocks the socks off the drier girl scout cookie version. These cookies are incredible! **Do NOT be tempted to eat the dough! Save it for the cookies!!! **Followed recipe exactly, except for the heavy cream. I was going to use coffee creamer but it tends to do weird things to frostings. So, instead I let some vanilla ice cream melt a bit...WOW! These will be a guaranteed hit at work tomorrow! I almost didn't frost them, as I thought they were great just as a little cookie. But they are even more amazing with the filling. ENJOY!!!

Excellent. I just made the cookies (didn't fill them) but I'm sure they'd be great filled too. I used crunchy peanut butter and flattened them just a bit before baking.

My husband and I loved these cookies. I am actually making them again for all of our friends who are coming tonight. I didn't make the frosting, but instead spread some strawberry jam on them. It was very good! I also left them plain as well and they were very good that way as well. This is going in my faves file!

I did not add the filling, just the plain cookie is so good. My teenage daughter and her friend enjoyed several warm from the oven after school, they said they were delicious. I made a double batch so we'd have plenty.
