These are very good, especially considering how healthy they are. I substituted whole wheat flour to add more fiber, cinnamon to give them extra spice, and milk since I had no buttermilk. Sorry that I'm rating with all the changes, but I'm sure they would have been equally good or even better if made the original way.

This recipe was delightfully delicious. I am a pancake lover and normally make Good Old Fashioned Pancakes from this website, but if you are in the mood for something different or you have some oats or buttermilk to use up, this is great! I loved the vanilla flavor to it. Yum, yum!

The pancakes were nice and heavy, but I thought they lacked a "full" flavor. I have 3 kids and they didn't care for them. I may try them again, but I'll add cinnamon, honey or banannas. They simply tasted like oatmeal to me.

Very good !!! I did not add any salt & they were good. I would suggest using a little less milk (batter very thin). But a great one. Definately a keeper :)

These are wonderful. I followed advice of other reviewers and decreased the salt to 1/2 tsp and used whole wheat flour.

These are pretty good. I didn't use the blender because I enjoy texture in my pancakes. I cut down on the salt and it was still too much. I used whole wheat pastry flour and these were still light and fluffy. Gotta love buttermilk in pancakes!

These pancakes were so yummy and such a pretty site. They cooked up into perfect little round puffs. I did think the batter was too runny so after reading the reviews I added just a bit of whole wheat flour (1/4 cup) but they cooked up so nicely that maybe I didn't really need it after all? I like to make my pancake batter ahead and just add the wet ingredients in the morning so I'm not sure this recipe is that kind of user friendly but really quite a healthy treat. Thank you for sharing!

These were a hit for breakfast this morning. I did have to add a little more flour, the batter was a little thin, so I used about 1/4 of whole wheat flour. They were delish!

I've wanted an oatmeal pankcake recipe for a long time, then I found this, tried it, and it resulted to be delicious. Any way, as I allways do, didn't follow the recipe exactly, instead, I intriduced my own variations, so it fits to my taste. As I preffer fluffy pancakes I used teaspoon and a half ofa baking powder, and as I like the salty-sweet flavor on my pancakes, I used a bit more salt. Anyway I thought It was very nice and tasty; didn't put anything on top, but I believe some jam will be a good match. Thanks

A+++++ I just made these for breakfast for dinner and my family devoured them. I followed the recipe exactly as written except mixed it up in my blender which made it very easy to pour out onto the hot griddle. The recipe states it will serve 4.....not in my house! I doubled the recipe and ended up with 14 pancakes. I will make often. Very good served with a blueberry compote.

I'd rate these 4.5 if I could. My family loves pancakes, but I feel a *little bit* guilty feeding them regular ones due to the processed flour, etc. I can feel a bit better about these. I've made them as written (cutting the salt as suggested) and they're very good. With a few tweaks, I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. First, I substitute either organic brown sugar or organic molasses for the white sugar (adding the molasses to the wet ingredients). These sweeteners up the flavor quite a bit. I've also used agave nectar (a low glycemic sweetener), but the flavor isn't very intense. I also use melted canola margarine instead of oil. Again, it just adds another layer of flavor. I increase the vanilla, too. Finally, I add cinnamon to the dry ingredients--about a half teaspoon. The result is fluffy, light, flavorful pancakes that everyone inhales. Oh, sometimes I add a couple tablespoons of flaxseed, cuz they have a nice nutty flavor, and sometimes I'll use egg substitute, to lower the fat. Go ahead and try these. They really are good, and good for you. :o)

I love this recipe! So does my husband. I was looking for a recipe that might recreate the wonderful oatmeal pancakes I had at a Redwood City, CA restaurant, and I actually like these even more. This is my new favorite pancake recipe!

Good pancake recipe. I threw a few chocolate chips in for my daughter, and she loved these. I also didn't have any buttemilk so I used canned milk which worked fine and added a dash of cinnamon. Next time, I may try sour milk to substitute for the buttermilk.
