Batter was too runny. Substitued applesauce for the oil and added mashed bananas. Didn't really care for it. Thanks.

I made this almost exactly as instructed apart from adding a tablespoon of vanilla instead of a teaspoon and less salt. My family raved about these and ate them all. I'll definitely be making these again. Thanks so much!

These are fantastic..i followed everything to the T except for a few small details the first being i swapped white sugar for brown sugar, the second was that i forgot to add the veg oil...and i didnt use the food processor i just wisked everything in one bowl..i did add some spices though i added cinnomon, and a small amount of nutmeg and allspice even still these turned out great:-) one batch made 7 med pancakes so you may need to double the recipe based on the number of people you are cooking for....thanks for posting this amazing recipe that will be enjoyed by many!!!!

Bravo, Bravo!! My daughter Hannah (16months) and I are a HUGE fan of good pancakes!!! I made these this morning and boy were these delicious!! Here are the changes that I made: I used unbleached flour & organic vanilla extract. I omitted using baking soda after reading several reviews and decided against bc I was afraid that it would be too salty--this was an excellent choice. I also swapped the buttermilk and used regular milk after reading one of the reviews and I also didn't have it on hand--another excellent choice although I'm sure that it would have tasted just as good if I did have buttermilk. I also added in 2 TBL spoons of brown sugar and I used Earth's Best Organic Instant Maple Brown & Sugar Oatmeal. I mixed all the ingredients in a mixing bowl just by choice; the result: wonderful tasting pancakes with a good texture! After the panckaes were done I topped them off with some butter and real maple syrup (Wegman's brand--the best!) These were really good and I will certainly make these again and again for years to come!! Thx mom2hh!!

This pancake recipe was awesome! It was extremely easy to make, especially for someone who doesn't cook a whole lot! I followed the recipe exactly, with two additions (chopped pecans and chopped bananas), but the pancakes themselves were very light and fluffy. Also, I didn't use a food processor, because I don't have one, so I whisked the batter instead. Make sure to use real maple syrup on these babies!

These were delicious! I made buttermilk by adding 1 TBS lemon juice to 1 cup of milk. I also added banana slices and pecans. This is a keeper! Thank you!

I took the advice from a couple of the reviewers and then again modified it. I first doubled it. I used whole wheat flour, and instead of only oatmeat I used half oatmeal and half soy chips and added an over-ripe banana (mashed)then let it sit for 5 min. for the chips to soften. My wife that only eats traditional foods loved them.

I have never made oatmeal pancakes and these were simple as ever! As other reveiwers mentioned, I would lower the amount of salt. It has a strong vanilla flavor, which I love, but others may want to reduce the amount if they don't like strong vanilla overtones. I also just mixed the recipe up by hand and they were great! I topped them with applesauce and a drizzle of maple syrup and they were perfect. My kids loved them! Next time I will try whole wheat flour and rolled oats.

These were the best pancakes I've ever tried! I subbed whole wheat flour for the white and applesauce for the oil. I got exactly 6 pancakes, so it really only serves 2 - 3 people.

These were awesome!! I used wheat flour also and omitted the oil. I threw in a couple scoops of flax seed and....presto! These are a keeper....any fruit in the pancake or jam on top puts them over the edge...thank you "mom2hhh"!!

I tried these pancakes this morning for breakfast and they were amazing! They were very fluffy and raised very well. This has become my new favorite pancake recipe. Oh and just a little hint... I sprinkled some fresh blackberries into my last pancake while it was cooking and it turned out delicious!

These were the best oatmeal pancakes I've found. Most of them take forever to cook because they are so dense, and feel like hockey pucks in your belly. This batter has the perfect liquidity to thin out on the griddle and cook evenly. They are so moist that after my first bite, I stopped to check their doneness because I expected that I had a mouthful of batter. Nope! Just good pancakes! I also used brown sugar, because I feel like that's a better compliment to oatmeal. I doubled the recipe and got 6 largish pancakes.

I only had regular rolled oats so I blitzed them in my spice mill. Also had no buttermilk so I used 1/2 cup milk plus 1/4 cup yogurt. Left out the sugar. The recipe made three 7-inch pancakes. They were great with some apricot jam.

These are good, I think next time I make these I will cut down on the sugar, they browned quickly almost before they were cooked, will try again.

I actually have this recipe from Taste Of Home, and it's a regular at our house. I usually substitute whole wheat flour for the regular flour, and I've used regular milk when I don't have buttermilk. I've thrown in different kinds of fruit, and they always turn out great.

These were terrific! I added blueberries, bananas, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut back on salt and baking soda. Didn't have buttermilk so I used a combo of 1% milk and lowfat plain yogurt. Family loved them!
