Excellent recipe. I substituted as follows: 3/4 c. Promise spread+1/4 c. butter; 1 c. splenda instead of white sugar; 1 cup splenda+2 tbsp. molasses instead of brown sugar; 1 1/2 cup regular Oat-Bran instead of All-Bran Cereal; 1 cup each of M&Ms and Resse's Pieces Peanut Butter candy; and 1 cup macadamia nuts--I also added a tsp. of baking powder. The cookies came out a little crumbly so I had to flatten them with a fork. I probably wont use the nuts or baking powder next time to see if they will flatten properly. All in all this was a great cookie recipe and will definitely make it again--hopefully I can find some sugar free chips/candy to use to get rid of more sugar.

I'm giving this recipe a 5-star rating. I usually make my own brown sugar (1-2 T molasses per cup of white sugar), so added 1 T molasses to 1 1/2 cups white sugar, and, following Sheba's idea, used bulk bran in place of cereal. They came out great, and I'll be making them again soon.

These are really good! I made half a batch, and subbed the egg with 1/2 a mashed banana and 1/4 tsp baking powder, and 2tsp soy milk. I also reduced the sugar slightly. The cooking time was perfect, and at least it's a way to get lots of fiber into my family :)

These cookies were really tasty with a tall glass of cold milk! I didn't have all-bran cereal so I used bulk oat bran instead and it worked just fine. An 'un-boring' way to get fiber ... I'll make these again.
