Oat-Bran Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 (11.5 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/2 cups all-bran cereal

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
