Very Good! The walnuts gave it a nice flavor. I used Butter Flavored Crisco in place of vegetable oil, as I didn't have any. For a flavor variety, I added cinnamon to the sugar to use on some.

This recipes is from the Taste of Home cookie contest- easy to make, easier to eat, crisp, tender, melt in your mouth taste. I did modify the recipe a bit, used 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 1/2 cup butter flavor shortening, and reduced granulated sugar to 2/3 cup for an extra crispy, less sweet cookie. Wonderful with a cup of coffee or tea!
