No-Fuss Chicken
SUBMITTED BY:

"'MY MOTHER-IN-LAW said she devised this recipe when her children were growing up and schedules were hectic. It was a favorite Sunday dish because it could be cooking while the family was at church. When they came home, it didn't take long to finish the preparations and put dinner on the table.'"

As a mother to 3 children ages between 3 and 16 finding a meal they all like is a pretty rare occasion. This recipe however hit the spot for my children and my husband. I also quartered a 250 gram punnet of mushrooms and added them in on top of the chicken breasts I had used. Delicious and everyone is asking for it again.

This is a good, simple recipe. I don't know what the other reviewers were complaining about, unless they wanted someone to do the work for them - apparantely seasoning the chicken and doing a little prep was too much fuss. Who'd have known?

For being NO-FUSS, why continue in a crock pot.

I realized once i got to the kitchen I didn't have the right spices, but just substitued what I had in my spice cabinet. My 3 year old asked for 3 servings! This child never sits at the table without playing and making a mess, but he never stopped eating! We thought it was great when I made it a few weeks ago and I just stopped by to get the recipe again because this will be dinner tonight! Thanks!!

Too much prep for a no fuss recipe. I want to be able to throw my ingredients in, put it on low and come home to a yummy meal.

This was awesome!! I probably wouldn't call it "no-fuss" because there was some prep work involved but it wasn't as overwhelming as some of the other reviewers seem to have made it out to be. The flavor was extraordinary and even pleased my very very picky husband who especially loved the gravy and he NEVER likes gravy! I used boneless skinless chicken breast because that is what we like and what we had and it seemed to cook a little faster than the recommended time but overall the recipe is right on. I doubled the flour/spice mixture because my chicken breasts were large and I tend to be a hearty batterer. This will definatly be a family favorite. It was great with mashed potatoes, a great comfort food!

Have been looking for good crockpot recipes and this was one that made me smile. The preparation took a little longer than I would have like, but the smell when I walked in the door last night was worth it.

Sounds like the results are about the same as when I throw a can of cream soup in with raw chicken and add a couple of spices. Pretty easy.

A Keeper!!! Very tender and NOT dry at all. I used boneless, skinless chicken breast. Pounded them down a bit so they weren't so thick and cut the breast in half. Served with mashed tators....family loved it. Also taste good cold the next day. :)
