I am so glad I found this recipe. I made these all the time when my boys were growing up. I also remember having them in school. A very long time ago. I made a batch the other day and they are still just as good and bring back wonderful memories. Thanks so much for the reciped.

Sorry. I just didn't like these AT ALL. My 2 kids wouldn't even eat them and they'll usually eat anything with sugar in it.

Very good taste but these are so dry that they barely held a cookie form. I had to actually shape them when they were still HOT and I burned my hands. I would recommend trying to adjust this recipe or using a different one.

This is simple if you just follow the instructions. Be sure to have everything pre-measured if you want it to turn out right. Thanks for sharing

I've been looking for my mom's no-bake recipe and this is it. She added coconut shreds, walnuts and raisins or any combination she had on hand, to hers with the oats. Try it, you'll like it.

This was the best no-bake cookie recipe I've ever tried! The only difference is that I used creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy because that's what I had. Ignore the other reviewers that say to change a bunch of things. Don't tamper with perfection!

My mom has been making this for decades, and taught me when I was a little kid. It's GREAT, and a staple in our family! Although I have to disagree with Sue who posted a review a few slots down - you DO need to boil it for one full minute, or it will not harden! I've made it several times where I didn't boil for a full minute, just brought it to a boil, and it never hardened. Over the last 15 years or so, I've made it close to a hundred times - boil it for at LEAST a full minute for it to harden properly. Thanks for posting!

No Bake Cookies have been a family favorite in my house for years. I believe every woman on my mom's side can and loves to make them. We only use about 2 cups of oats, however, and 3 tbsp of cocoa. We get kind of impatient waiting for them to harden, so we generally set the saucepan in cold water, while we stir in the peanut butter, vanilla, and oats until the mixture starts to feel stiff.

I have made these cookies for years and have discovered that you only have to bring it to a boil, you DO NOT have to boil for a full minute. All that really has to happen is that the sugar needs to be completely melted. I also just put the oats and peanut butter in a bowl together and stir them in at the same time, there is no need to melt the peanut butter in the boiled mixture first. You can also add 1/2 cup coconut flakes, along with the oats.

I cut the recipe in half, but used 3 TBSP cocoa, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 3/4 c. oatmeal. My family used to make these a lot when I was younger, and we never put peanut butter in it- so I left that out as well. I usually put my cookies in the fridge to cool down; they are chilled and ready to eat within 20 minutes.

Very good but too much sugar! I reduced to 1 cup of sugar (doesn't set up quite as well but not so overly sweet) and used sunbutter instead of peanut butter. Added 1 cup of unsweetened coconut for added texture/flavor. Yum!

I have been making these cookies for years. I do increase the cocoa to 1/2 cup, and use only creamy peanut butter, but that is the only change. You do need to have everything at the ready..but these are no fail cookies! Everyone in the family requests these over any other cookie. Easy quick clean-up, too!!

I'm giving this 5 stars, but if it was an option, I'd only give 4.5. I did make some changes though. I used Splenda, skim milk, light margarine, and used 1 3/4c of oats. Some of the cookies were very moist, and a couple of them were dry. My husband enjoyed them and I loved them. Reminded me of the cookies I used to get at the school cafeteria when I was little. I will definitely make these again! :)
