Really good. I only gave it four stars because it's a little sweet, but still satisfying and a great alternative if you feel like baking but don't want to turn on the oven. My kids loved them.

I couldn't get over the texture and the sweetness of these cookies. I love the concept, but I love the crunchy baked feeling of regualr cookies. I think it is the uncooked oats that kills the texture for me. These also came out overly sweet, even for a pregnant sweet tooth it was too much. They were however easy to make with common household ingredients so there was no need to run to the store!

A great cookie - I entered it at our county fair and won 2nd place. My son thought he should have been allowed to taste the 1st place entry - because he said "there is no way their cookies were better than yours". I must admit they were great. I also made a batch and left the cocoa out - these weren't entered at the fair, but I had trouble keeping my mom out of them. I do agree that you need to come to a full boil and then boil for one minute.

A good cookie that my kids & hubby liked and I timed it for 2 minutes once it came to a rapid boil. Took 1.5 hrs. to solidify. Cut back sugar to 1.75 cups, but would cut it back more to 1.5 next time. Great recipe for the kids to learn to make.

This has always been a favorite in our home whenever someone has a chocolate craving. So fast and easy and the ingredients are always on hand. A great Summer recipe too because no turning on the oven!

The remedy for a sweet-tooth emergency. I think the 15 prep time is even a stretch;it took me maybe that long from prep to eating. I did try another member's microwave version and they came out a scorched, powdery mess. The "longer" stove-top version is nearly fool proof.

I made this recipes EXACTLY as written & it turned out perfectly. These were exactly what I remembered as a child & had a craving for. I wish people would stop complaining when they don't follow the directions & whine the recipe wasn't good. Unless you actually follow the recipe, don't bother reviewing. Coconut milk is not the same as regular milk.

I love these cookies, this recipie is just like my mom's. I have found though now that I have moved to Atlantic Canada (from Colorado) right at sea level, I have to add an extra cup of oatmeal for them to set correctly. This might help some of you that find they aren't setting right.

I use basically the same recipe, but with 2 cups of oats instead of 3. I don't think there would be enough liquid to coat 3 cups of oats properly.

The secret is to boil the mixture for 4-6 min... the longer you boil the more the sugar carmelizes and the quicker the cookies will set up once you remove them from the heat. If they look a little watery (like my first batch did) then just let the mixture set for a few min before spooning them out on the wax paper. These are so delicious!!! I've made them several times. With and without peanut butter... you can add almost anything to these cookies. I've even made coffee almond ones! I also use dark chocolate cocoa and it makes them even more decadent. I will continue to make these for a loooong time!

We have company coming for dinner, and it's too hot to turn on the oven, so I made these today with my 6 year old daughter. I did the cooking part, she scooped them on the parchment. I love the subtle peanut butter taste. It's very easy, and the ingredients are staples, so it will be a great last minute "I need dessert, quick!" recipe.
