This was the first time I've made these and they turned out wonderful! The only thing I changed was that I used creamy PB instead of crunchy. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly and these were great! Thanks for the recipe.

Glad I found an old childhood favorite -I boiled the mixture at full for 1.5 min. they set but were very sticky. Used creamy PB - will use less sugar, boil longer and try more oats and coconut next time

Theres cookies were very good. I only gave them 4 stars because I think they would be better with creamy peanut butter. They just didn't taste peanut buttery to me. I also boiled using a candy themometer to about 250 degrees, which took about a minute longer than the recipe said and the texture turned out perfect.

These are old time favorites - just don't make the mistake I made. I think I added way too much cocoa because I thought 4 tbsp just didn't seem like enough - the cookies came out extremely "crumbly" and you couldn't bite into one without it falling apart. But it still tasted great! If you follow directions as is, and use creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy, they will be perfect.

Excellent cookies! I decreased the sugar to 1-1/4C and added 1/4C coconut and they turned out great.

These are awsome!!! The nice thing is that I had everything for them already in my kitchen!! I made these EXACTLY by the recipe and they turned out perfectly. Just a hint: once you drop them onto the wax paper, go back and "push" each one together so that you end up with less little crumblies.

I love these cookies and have been making them ever since I was a little girl. However, half of the time the cookies wouldn't set up properly since my recipe said to boil for only 1 min. So, I scanned all of the no-bake recipes to see what was going wrong. I was thankful that your recipe told me the trick to getting them to set up. Thanks

I was craving something sweet and easy when I came across this recipe. I wasn't sure if I wanted to make a whole batch so I modified it and only made a dozen. What a big mistake that was! Now I have to go back and make more. I ate 4 of them while they were still warm, they were that good. I used creamy peanut butter instead and you MUST start timing right after the boiling point in order for them to roll properly. Thanks for that tip. My batch came out perfectly and were fast and easy to make. This is a keeper for sure.

I usually make my no-bakes in the microwave, but I wanted to try a stovetop recipe. Tasted good, just didn't set up too well.

I don't think I boiled the mixture long enough, because I had to put my cookies in the fridge to set. They were still good, but soooooooo sweet. Might as well just eat sugar with a spoon. I thought they could use more oats too -- there was alot of the liquid mixture, not enough of the "cookie". Not bad, but not for me! My friend loved 'em though.

Finally! Seriously, I've been trying to make No-Bakes for the last 5 years with no luck. I was able to successfully make them in high school all the time, but not since.... until today! I've tried different methods, recipes, etc. I chose this one because it has a little less sugar than some. (Still a lot of sugar though, and I would reduce it, but I think that's why mine have not set up in the past). I read a bunch of reviews on this recipe, and other no-bake recipes on this site. Decided to boil the mixture for 2 minutes after it came to a rolling boil, and then I boiled it a little more. I cooked it to about 230 degrees (using my meat thermometer, lol) because some reviewers said to cook to the soft-ball stage, but I was afraid to cook it too long, so I stopped at 230. Used natural peanut butter, and a mix of quick and old-fashioned oats, adding about 1/4 cup extra. After about 20 minutes, these cookies had set up perfectly, I can actually pick one up and eat it! Every other time I've tried to make them in the past few years, they stay goopy, soft, and just not right. They set up perfectly today. Thanks for the recipe, and thanks everyone here for their great and helpful reviews!

These were good. I made them with margarine instead of butter and I also added 1 more cup of oats. The oats were the old fashioned kind. I would make one reccomendation. With the crunchy peanutbutter they lost some of their peanut butter flavor. I will use creamy peanutbutter next time. There were really good and the boys ate them right up by the end of the day. Thanks for the recipe.

So simple, yet so gooooooood! I used creamy, all-natural peanut butter instead. Such a yummy cookie... and so easy that you just can't mess up. Even if you somehow do, I believe it'll still be tasty. Haha! Let it cool to settle, and store in an air-tight container. Oh, and don't try making it without the vanilla extract... I tried that once b/c I ran out and....... yeah...... vanilla is essential. Hahaha!

These were great! (I emphasize WERE!) I especially loved the tip from Denise to make sure and only boil for 1 1/2 min. in order to insure they turn out the way you want them. I have always struggled to make no bakes like my friends' moms, and now I finally can! Thank you so much!
